Stardate: 49263.5 During negotations with the Karemma, the Defiant is attacked by the Jem'Hadar. After a short battle, the Defiant is left drifting in a hostile atmosphere, with Sisko critically injured. Meanwhile, the Jem'Hadar are still looking.

Quite like this one :)
Some nice moments between Kira and Sisko where we see a bit more about him being the Emissary and how Kira feels about this. Worf being given a lesson in command works nicely and Quark and whatshisface was enjoyable :)
Doesn't quite explain how the Defiant seems to be incapable of destroying 2 Jem'Hadar ships despite having no problems in their last encounter........

I've always been a sucker for episodes like this - TNG's 'Disaster' is one of my favourite episodes of all :)
I love the fact it boils down to #how much crap can we throw at the DS9 crew'

I very much agree - at times the fact Kira's CO is also her God seems to be forgotten.
However, there was a vast misjudgement in physics when Bashir went to drag Dax to the turbolift - surely given the hull was breached the pressure (which I seem to remember was inordinately high) would have turned them into attractive wall decorations?

I dunno... much as I enjoy the disaster-style episodes, this one really didn't hit me as much as it should have done.
O'Brien's line of "Don't bother trying to contact the bridge - they're probably all dead" (or something to that extent) really lives up to his "we can't abandon the Star Drive - there might still be survivors!" attitude in Disaster. At least Worf should be glad that Keiko wasn't on board this time. :p
If there was something I found great, is Quark and the other guy (forget his name :whistling: ) trying to disarm the torpedo - especially when they start completely losing it... "And if we mess up, we die!" :D

Or, for that matter, how it got its arse kicked the first time they met the Jem'Hadar but then defeated them so easily the following time :ponder:
Quite enjoyed this one. At least it didn't involve Picard being stuck in a turbo lift with a bunch of kids
Does losing impulse power mean the transporters go down? Otherwise how come they didn't just beam Dax/Bashir etc out of the danger areas?
And I'm getting a bit fed up with seeing Worf having to be corrected and told how to handle things all over again - I saw all this on TNG. So he's new on the station, that doesn't mean he's lost all his experience
Overall, though, the whole "starships-in-submarine-type-warfare" was done far better in The Wrath of Khan :)
