Is it just me, or has the board been really slow for the past couple of weeks? It's not so bad late at night, but in the early evening it's almost at BBC pace it's that slow. I know it's not my connection because other sites are normal.

I used to use the 'culttvboards' address but switched to the 's7.invision' address last week because of the slowness; it had no effect. Normally sites speed up in the summer because less people are online, but the speed has dropped dramatically and I was wondering if there was a particular reason for this, or if it's just unusually busy servers?

I don't know. Sometimes it does the exact same thing on this PC. But sometimes, it's really fast.

It has been patchy of late - some times I've given up with the speed being so bad.

No idea why.

I'm currently looking into it but am not having much luck. I'll keep you all updated if i find anything out :)

I've noticed the slowness too. In fact I was going to reply last night but got fed up of waiting for the page to load ;) It's crawling along today aswell.

I have been getting the same thing......thought it was my w**k PC......as it doesnt seem to happen on my PC at home?

Has even happened to me overnight when I was the only one logged in??

It's been slow for me too, but I assumed it was just my computer playing up.

I don't know, if this has to do with it being slow, but sometimes, when Me or my mum log on and go to post something, it logs us out. Anyway explanations? Or is it something to do with the slowness? :ponder:

I haven't noticed anything, but then I haven't been on here enough to notice the speed, I guess. It seems fine at the moment for me (famous last words). :ermm:

I've noticed some slowness at w**k, but I've put that down to the clockwork running down on the w**k machines. Not really noticed any problems on the home pc.

It usually works okay for me too, however it's really slow at the moment. And I keep getting the 'page cannot be displayed' thing too!

I'm having problems with the boards today too and keep getting the "action cancelled" or "page cannot be found" when I try to access the threads. I've also had to sign in about 6 times in the past 10 mins <_< . It usually works fine for me but it's a nightmare today.

Very slow for me at the moment, too. I just got a message about getting a "malformed response from the server" :ermm:

Are you using the .co.uk url or the s7.invisionfree url? The .co.uk regularly logs people out so you're better of using the other :)

I've been getting a lot of internal server errors for the past ten minutes or so.

It's w**king fine for me right now, a lot faster than normal :rolleyes:

I think it's a bit hit and miss, some people are having problems other have none at all... still looking into it but it could be a number of things <_<

I'm using the .co.uk url. I haven't had any trouble with it before, but I think I'll switch to the other one in future.

The slowness seems to have stopped now too (fingers crossed)

I've had "the page cannot be found" errors all evening. Strange, given it's never happened to me with this site before.

Yup, I've also had the Page Cannot Be Displayed a few times last night and again just now.

Me too, getting error 502 . <_<

I haven't had the error page, but over the past few mins have clicked on a few links and sometimes it doesn't do anything.

It seems to be entirely random when it slows down :shrug:

It's been ok for the past few days, but it's going incredibly slowly again tonight. I don't think it's a problem at my end as all other websites seem to be going at normal speed. Any luck finding out what the problem might be? :)

Update:

This is a wide spread problem with many of the servers on Invision being affected... server 7 seems to have been badly affected but i have been told that it is being worked on.

All we can do is be patient :)
