Giles Voiceover : Previously On Buffy The Vampire Slayer...

[Cut To Buffy's Front Room, Day]
Buffy : So here's the part where you make a choice : what if you could have that power... now? In every generation, one slayer is born... because a bunch of men who died thousands of years ago made up that rule. They were powerful men. This woman [Buffy points at Willow] is more powerful than all of them combined. [Willow whimpers] So I say we change the rule. I say my power...

[Cut to Principal Wood's office, day. Kennedy smiles, confidently.]

Buffy Voiceover : ...should be our power.

[Cut to the Hellmouth, day. Vi, Rona and Amanda close their eyes and breathe with a start.]

Buffy Voiceover : Tomorrow, Willow will use the essence of this scythe to change our destiny.

[Cut to Baseball diamond, day. A] Buffy Voiceover : From
[young girl stands at the plate,] now on, every girl in the
[staring at the pitcher, waiting to] world who might be a slayer...
[bat. A nervous look on her face.]

[Cut to High School hallway, day.] Will be a slayer.
[A young woman breathes heavily]
[as she leans on her locker for]
[support.]

[Cut to living room, day. A young] Every girl who could have
[woman is lying across the floor.] the power...

[Cut to dining room, day. In a] Will have the
[Japanese-style dining room, a] power... can stand up,
[young woman stands up at a]
[family dinner.]

[Cut to basement, day. A young] Will stand up.
[woman grabs the wrist of a man]
[who was attempting to strike her.]

[Cut to baseball diamond, day. The girl] Slayers... every one of us. Make
[changes from nervous to confident, a] your choice.
[smile spreads across her face.] Are you ready to be strong?

[Cut to Hellmouth, day.]

The First/Buffy [Looks down at wound mark that is reflected from Buffy] : Ow! Mommy, this mortal wound is all... itchy. You pulled a nice trick. You came pretty close to smacking me down. What more do you want?

Buffy [Through gritted teeth] : I want you to get out of my face. [Stands]

[Cut to Hellmouth, Day. Buffy is standing with Spike who is holding his hand up. Buffy puts her fingers through his and they close. The hands turn to flames.]

Buffy : I love you.

Spike : No, you don't. But thanks for saying it. Now go! I wanna see how it ends. [Buffy lets go of his hand and runs up the stairs, out of the hellmouth.]

[Cut to outside Sunnydale, day. Buffy and the gang overlooking the crater that was Sunnydale.]

Xander : We saved the world.

Willow : We changed the world. I can feel them, Buffy. All over. Slayers are awakening everywhere.

Dawn : We'll have to find them.

[Cut to outside Sunnydale, day. Buffy and the gang are overlooking the crater that was Sunnydale.]

Dawn : Yeah , Buffy. What are we gonna do now?

Giles Voiceover : And on Angel...

Fred : I can't believe it. Are-are you saying we should take the deal?

Angel : I already took it?

Fred : Angel, what-what?

Wesley : You took the deal?

Angel : Executive decision.

Wesley : I didn't think you'd -

Lilah : Know a silver platter when he's handed one? I'm impressed with the lot of you. Team Angel, all growed up.

END OF PREVIOUSLY

START OF EPISODE

[Buffy and the gang continue to look down at the crater. Buffy hears a low rumble and then feels the floor begin to shake.]

Dawn [Screams] : Buffy what's happening?

Buffy [Shouts] : Everyone on the bus!

[Buffy and Co. run toward the bus. Everyone gets inside, except Buffy.]

Dawn : Buffy!

Buffy : Wait!

[Buffy jumps and grabs hold of the top of the bus, she climbs on top and grabs the scythe. She jumps down and gets on the bus. Giles has moved Wood and is now sitting at the driving wheel. Dawn pulls the door closed and Giles takes off.]

Willow : Giles? What was that?

Giles : The Hellmouth, it's not over.

Buffy, Xander, Willow and Dawn [Shocked] : What?

Giles : The Hellmouth hasn't finished getting destroyed.

Xander : So you mean that some oogly booglies are gonna come crawling out of Sunnydale's crater?

Giles : Maybe. This is the first Hellmouth I have witnessed getting destroyed. Or maybe the first quake was just a phase.

[Cut to outside, day. We see a birdseye view of the bus moving along the quaking floor.]

[Cut to inside of the bus.]

Giles [Puts the brake on] : I think it stopped.

Buffy : Y'think?

Xander [Looks at Buffy] : Where are we going anyway?

Willow : We should find the slayers... other slayers.

Giles : There's another Hellmouth in Cleveland.

Buffy [Confused] : So you're saying we should go to the other Hellmouth? And you're saying we should go to find the slayers?

[Willow nods.]

[Roll Opening Titles]

[Act 1]

[Cut to a hospital, day. Buffy is sitting on a hospital bed, a nurse is tending to her stomach injury and another to her forhead injury.]

[Fade to Xander is sitting in the waiting room, Dawn is sitting with him, her injuries all patched up. Andrew is sitting behind them and Faith is sitting next to him. Willow is holding Kennedy in the same row as Andrew and Faith. Giles, Vi, Chao Ahn and some other slayers are sitting in another row.]

[Fade to Rona is getting treated in a room with a slayer.]

[Fade to Wood is lying on a hospital bed, some nurses and doctors are patching him up.]

[Cut to the waiting room. Buffy walks out and sits down next to Dawn.]

Xander : All patched up?

Buffy : And ready for a real good slay.

Dawn : What happened down there?

Faith : She got a bit stabbed.

Dawn : Where?

Buffy : [Points at where the sword had penetrated] There.

Dawn : But you were running across buildings.

Andrew : The force was strong in you, little one, from day the first.

[Cut to the clock in the hospital waiting room. The time is 7:32 PM.]

[Fade to the clock, the time is 10:00PM.]

[Dawn is leaning on Xander, asleep. Buffy is looking at the other slayers. The doctor walks out, looking for Giles.]

Doctor : Mr. Giles.

Giles : [Stands up] Doctor.

Doctor : I'm afraid I have some bad news.

[Everyone stands up, except Xander, taking into consideration Dawn's exhaustion. They gather around the doctor.]

Buffy : What is it?

Doctor : [Clears throat, clearly intimidated by the group surrounding him.] I'm sorry to say that Robin is in a coma.

[Fade to black. End of Act 1]

[Act 2]

Doctor : And the longer he stays in it, the least likely it will be that he'll awaken.

Faith : But he isn't dead?

Doctor : No. He had some critical injuries and wounds, but as far as we know they have all been patched up.

Giles : [Takes glasses off and pulls out a handkerchief, starts to clean glasses] Is that all?

Doctor : Yes that is all, for now. [Turns and walks away.]

[Faith turns away from the group and runs toward the doctor.]

Doctor : How can I help you? [Turns to face Faith.] Weren't you with that rather large group just now?

Faith : What? [Rubs forhead and glances back at Buffy and the Scoobies.] Oh! Yeah. I just wanted to know if I could go in and see Wood, I mean Robin.

Doctor : Very well, but I must warn you it's not a pretty sight.

Faith : Lots of blood, huh?

Doctor : No, wires, machinery and tubes.

[Faith nods and turns to walk away.]

Doctor : Did you kids get into a fight with a gang or something to get injured so bad?

Faith : Something like that. [Enters Robin's room.]

[Cut to Robin, lying in bed. Tubes are coming out of everywhere, linked up to machines. Faith takes a seat beside the bed.]

Faith : [Takes Robin's hand] Hey. Okay, that was pretty pointless. Robin, you have to wake up. I mean you were gonna surprise me, although you already did on that bus. All I'm saying is that I need you. That's stupid coming from me, I mean not really a comittee here. [A tear rolls down Faith's cheek.] Come on. You can get through this. Surprise me.

[Robin's eyes flutters, Faith looks up and quickly wipes her tears away. Robin's eyes flutter open again.]

Robin : [Looks at Faith] Surprise.

Faith : [A smile spreads across her face. Stands up and runs to the door.] Doctor! Doctor!

Doctor : [Sound of feet running across the linoleum floor] What is it?

Faith : He's awake.

Doctor : [Walks inside properly and glances at Wood.] You must be a miracle worker.

Faith : I try.

Doctor : [Frowns] Sorry to ask this of you, but I have to ask you to leave, so that we can do a final check over.

Faith : Five by five.

[Faith walks out of the door, leaving a puzzled look on the doctor's face.]

[Cut to the waiting room, Everyone is awake now.]

Buffy : So Robin's awake, huh?

[Faith nods.]

Buffy : What did you say to him?

Faith : Nothing, I just sat there. You know me, I'm not good with sadness. Which is ironic considering my life has been filled with it.

Giles : We should probably get some sleep. I mean it's been a long day and we did avert the apocalypse, again.

Faith : Now I'm glad I didn't push you into that crater. I mean who would have came up with good ideas like that?

[Willow, Xander, Dawn and Andrew raise their hands.]

[Fade to black, end of Act 2]

[Act 3]

[Three days later.]

[Buffy is sitting in Robin's room, Faith is sitting on the bed.]

Robin : Do we know where we're going?

Buffy : Going?

Faith : After.

Buffy : [Nods] Well Giles was talking about going to Cleveland.

Faith : Another Hellmouth?

Buffy : Yes. I said that we should go on vacation, but apparently evil doesn't do vacation.

[The door opens and Dr. Lotely walks inside.]

Buffy : [Stands up] Do you know when he'll be able to go?

Doctor : [Walks over to a machine] He has healed incredibly fast. He should be able to go today.

Faith : [Grins at Robin] Do you know why he healed so fast?

Doctor : Must have been some kind of miracle. [Leaves room]

Buffy : Yeah. Or maybe you did inherit something from your mother after all.

Robin : Maybe.

[Buffy walks out of the room and out to the waiting room, everyone has got new clothing.]

Giles : How is he?

Buffy : Okay.

[Suddenly the room is filled with darkness. Buffy looks around the room. A man walks into the moonlight coming in through the window. Buffy sees that he is a vampire, some more vampires jump through the windows. The doctors and nurses scream and run away. Faith runs out of Wood's room.]

Buffy : Are you guys dumb or something?

Vampire : What are you talking about?

Buffy : You mean you don't know?

Vampire : What?

Faith : God, he's dumb or what?

[Dawn nods.]

Buffy : There's a whole slayer army here. What were you expecting to get from here anyway?

Vampire : How about lots and lots of blood, and maybe some humans if we got lucky.

Buffy : Well I don't have time for this.

Vampire : What?

Buffy : This. [Jumps off the floor and connects her foot with his face.]

Faith : [Shouts] Come on girls. Let's do it. [Faith runs forward and punches one of the vampires in the face.]

Vi : We don't have any weapons!

Buffy : [Buffy grabs a chair.] Yes we do.

[The other slayers grab a chair and run into the fray. Buffy hits one of the vamps over the head with her chair, it falls to pieces. Wood falls to the floor and Buffy picks up a piece of wood. She gets punched in the face, and goes backward. The vampire jumps at her and lands on her stake, dust explodes onto the floor. Another vampire dusts somewhere and Kennedy falls onto her back. She kicks the vampire in the leg and then gets to her feet. Faith stakes the vampire that is on the floor. The other vamps skedaddle.]

Faith : [Throws down stake] Well that was fun.

Andrew : [Walks and turns on the lights.] Sure it wasn't.

Dawn : Should someone go and check the hospital?

Xander : I concur.

Buffy : Fine you, Willow and Kennedy go do that then.

Giles : [Puts hand on Buffy's shoulder] Buffy, are you okay?

Buffy : Sure. Do you mind? [Buffy walks toward the entrance doors.]

Giles : No you should get some air.

[Cut to outside, Buffy sits on a bench. A tear rolls down her cheek, she wipes it away when she hears the door open. Dawn joins Buffy at the bench.]

Dawn : Hey.

Buffy : Hey.

Dawn : Did you want to be alone?

Buffy : No. It's okay.

Dawn : What happened?

Buffy : What happened when? Give me a something to w**k with here.

Dawn : In the Hellmouth.

Buffy : Millions of Uber vamps, about three dozen scared slayers and a vampire with an amulet.

Dawn : I know that. I meant with Spike?

Buffy : He sacrificed himself to close the Hellmouth, and town.

Dawn : [Her eyes fill with tears] And did you see him... dust?

Buffy : No. He told me to get out. And I told him that... [Buffy trails off.]

Dawn : I understand you wanna keep it to yourself.

Buffy : What happened with Anya?

Dawn : I don't know. I wasn't there, all I know is that she's dead.

Buffy : Poor Xand. He loses the woman he loves.

Dawn : And you lost the guy.

[Buffy doesn't say anything, just continues to look into the parking lot of the hospital.]

Dawn : Do you have any idea where we are gonna go now?

Buffy : [Looks at Dawn] Giles said we should go to Cleveland.

Dawn : [Grins] Ooh maybe we could visit Angel.

Buffy : I'm not sure we can trust him anymore, not since he started to w**k for Wolfram & Hart.

Dawn : And this would be a great time to go and find out if he's evil or not. I mean he did go to Sunnydale to give you that amulet and file.

Buffy : I guess. Or maybe we should obey Giles.

Dawn : [Groans] No offence, as much as I like fighting evil, I think I might like to finish school.

Buffy : And you shall. I just don't know where.

[The doors open, and Buffy and Dawn look around to see who is there. The Scoobies walk out. Wood being supported by Faith. Willow and Kennedy walking together, the slayers walking behind them, and Xander, Giles and Andrew walking behind the slayers. Buffy and Dawn stand up and walk over to the others. The walk out of the parking lot and towards the bus. Instead of getting on it they watch as the sun sets in Los Angeles.]
