This little corner of the board hasn't seen much use lately and I want to change that, so I've decided to bring you selected reviews each week of books that you may not have bought, but I feel are worthy of mention.

I've decided to begin with this one shot release by JMS with glorious art by Mike Deodato Jr, his ex colaborator on Amazing Spider Man.

It's a well constructed and thought out piece of literature, (yeah, I know some of you would argue my use of that word when discussing comics but this is my review so :p )

The book charts a typical night in the lives of Joe Thursday and his partner Frank Stanford, as they w**k the nightshift, policing peoples dreams.

Think Nightmare on Elm street crossed with Dragnet and you'll get the general idea.

With crimes ranging from "Dream abandonment" and "Dream theft" to a dreaded "Monster in closet" dream that gets out of hand :fear:

They're normal cops, w**king in a far from normal world.

Dealing with a guy who hijacks a nun's dream and turns it into an erotic fantasy featuring Ellen Degeneres   You just know that JMS had fun writing this one.

It may only be a one issue wonder, but there is so much scope in the idea that it could return as an ongoing series, if it sells well enough.

And as it's a creator owned project under Marvel comics new "Icon" publishing imprint, JMS can do what he likes with it, with complete editorial and creative control :yahoo:

This is a great book, pick it up if you get the chance.
