Title: Beyond Season 2.....

I throughly enjoyed season 1&2 of Alias and am now starting my rewatch of Season 2 as I just finished rewatching season 1. I haven't seen Season 3 but have the DVD and I'm worried because of the bad reviews I keep seeing for it.
Season 1&2 were so good and thats why I'm rewatching them before season 3 but I can't help myself feeling that I'm going to be dissapointed.
Will Tippin my favourite character only appears once and from what I heard the storylines are rubbish compared to series 1 and 2. I like Jack, Dixon, Mashsall and Weiss and of course Vaughn as well, but the series I believe still needs a character like Will.
I also heard that Irena Dereviko isn't present in season 3 even though she made such an impact in season 2 I think that she should be back.
Anyway I hope I'm wrong and that I'm surprised when I open my DVD boxset of Alias Season 3.

Done
Daniel, I really enjoyed season 3 and I think it improves upon rewatch. As LP has said, there is divided opinion as to whether season 3 was good or bad. I don't want to say too much because you haven't seen season 3 yet, but yes, Will appears in one episode only, but he gets a good comeback episode and the door is left open for him. As for the absence of Irina, I didn't think it was too much of a problem. Given how she exited at the end of season 2 I would have been really surprised to see her back in season 3. There are also some interesting developments surrounding the other characters to focus on. Season 3 moves very fast and can be a bit confusing (especially towards the end) but stick with it and be prepared for some surprises :)

I didn't see much of S3 but the few episodes I did see didn't seem as good as the previous two seasons. SFX described S3 as being shown in depresso-vision ;)

I enjoyed S3 as much as the other two. Sure, the bar was set pretty high, but they still came up with some good stuff. Maybe not as consistently great as S2 - which uberrocked - but there are still plenty of those jaw-dropping moments that make Alias so compulsive.
