Oh dear :(
One of those few episodes where I litereally sat there willing the episode to end. Very, very dull...

Yay, back to disagreeing with you again ;)
I quite liked this one :p
Always nice to see Kai Winn in action and enjoyed watching her get outsmarted by Kira et al :)
Plus anything that adds a bit more background to things on Bajor is always going to get a  from me :)

I'm afraid I have to agree with Phillip - the polite word I'm looking for is "boooooooooooring...". :) Don't think I even wound up watching the end... think I disappeared off to do a pot of coffee or some washing up.
I guess I just don't like the "chatty" stories on Bajor's past...

At last, back to something more interesting
I really enjoyed this one. Slightly gobsmacked that Winn jumped in as head of the provisional government - wouldn't there be some kind of conflict of interest involved there? Glad the ending sorted that one out
When it started I thought it was going to go down the Progress route again, so I'm glad it didn't. The stand off in the canyon was well handled, I thought.
One thing that's struck me repeatedly over the course of this season is how often members of the crew seem to drop their duties on the station to go off and do their own thing  Last episode Sisko buggers off on a ship he built (I'm assuming he wasn't w**king as well during the 3 weeks it took to build it  ), prior to that he'd taken the whole command crew off on the Defiant to go and rescue Odo in the Gamma Quadrant against Starfleet orders (highly unbelievable), and here Winn doesn't even get Sisko's permission before getting Kira to go and sort Shakaar out (a number of weeks is mentioned as passing here, too).
They get as much leave as Paul does!

Yeah, nice separation of powers
I've always liked this one although found it strange that the creepy ghosty guy out of TNG's Sub Rosa has suddenly become one of Kira's closest comrades..... :o
