Title: 2x11 - Redefinition
LoobiLou - June 19, 2005 04:25 PM (GMT)
After firing his staff and cutting himself off from all help, Angel begins intense physical and mental training to become strong enough to stop Darla and Drusilla before they destroy the City of Angels. Meanwhile, Cordelia, Wesley, and Gunn try to continue the fight for the innocent on their own now that Angel's gone astray.

Darla: That wasn't Angel. Drusilla: He's gone! He's all gone! Oh, it hurts... it hurts... Darla: Wasn't Angelus, either. Drusilla: Help me... Darla: Who was that?

Wesley: I thought you might like to know we're keeping the agency open...with or without you. You may have turned you back on your mission, but we haven't. Someone has to fight the good fight. Angel: Let them fight the good fight. Someone has to fight the war.

darla and dru pep talking the group of vampire and demon (showing they are serious by ripping some ears   , darla saying it's not about angelus but going mad about the fact that angelus should be at her side
gunn, cordie and wes trying to deal with the fact they are out of job, ending up all together at caritas, drunk and singing (love the song :lmao: ) and lorne calmy but surely making sure that cordie is not going to get hurt because of the vision he is sensing his coming
the gang going on mission and succeding more or less in one piece
a very good episode :yahoo:

Truly great stuff though it is easy to see why Tim Minear commented it is hard to maintain such a dark tone for long. There is a place as well for episodes such as Disharmony though some might disagree. 9/10. sk

I really loved this episode!
As Claire commented the fighting, sweating, half nakedness....... what is there to dislike?
A great bad boy Angel that as darla points out is neither Angel not Angelus.
As quoted from Grease 2 'Who's that guy, where'd he come from' I don't care but I will gladly have more of him!
That scene where he is smoking on his car.... OMG, weak at the knees.
The plot wasn't bad either!
9/10

Again a fabulous episode. :yahoo:
Angel training scene at the beginning, soley focused on bringing down Darla and Dru.
The way he fights the gang in the sewer so much more ruthless than his normal fights - he means business.
Lindsey and Lilah emerging as the only survivors and wondering how Wolfram & Hart are going to react.
Lindsey thinking for a second that Darla may return his love only to be played for a fool. The girls wanting to amass their own army - I wonder how powerful they could have become. (Would Wolfram & Hart tried to kill them eventually)
Lilah trying to get Lindsey in trouble using her feminine persuasion and Lindsey not falling for it.
The episode interspersed with the humourous scenes of the crew getting plastered at Caritas - We are the Champions  The first time we have seen them relaxed and in a way back to a more human way of behaving without Angel.
Angel trapping the girls and burning them, Dru's visions from earlier episodes coming true but not how she wanted them too. Darla's recognition that its neither Angel or Angelus - redefinition indeed.
Yes he looks cool smoking by the car, how many steps away from darkness is he.
The two final scenes, Lindsey & Lilah learning they are stilled going to be played against each other :o and yet they are relieved to learn they aren't going to get killed.
Wesley in the basement telling Angel that they hadn't given up and were going to continue fighting ruffling Angel's aim
