Any ideas when the new series starts? As soon as Dr Who finishes, I'm out of sci-fi.

laughitupfuzzball - June 16, 2005 02:30 PM (GMT)
In the US I think July 15th, not sure about over here :)

July 15th, I think...

Bakhesh - June 16, 2005 02:57 PM (GMT)
Isn't that the same day as the new BSG? and I'm guessing Atlantis will be back around the same time.

July could be a busy month.

The new Friday line up (US) will be Firefly, SG-1, Atlantis & BSG to finish!

SCI FI Channel announced that it will air reruns of Fox's canceled SF series Firefly, including three episodes that never aired on Fox. SCI FI will air all 14 hours of the show, from creator Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), starting July 22, in the 7 p.m. ET/PT Friday timeslot. It will be followed by new episodes of Stargate SG-1 at 8, Stargate Atlantis at 9 and Battlestar Galactica at 10.

You wait ages for a new series of sci-fi, then three come along all at once.

  look at that uniform

I'm not going to give away any of the story but some of his characters storylines sound great :)

I think I'm more excited regarding this season of Stargate than I've been for a long time

Although I am very keen to see what direction they go in now, I'm not as excited as I am about the new series of BSG.

There seems to be so much decent sci-fi at the moment, and most of it thanks to the skiffy channel. Who'd have thought this was the company we all said we'd never watch again after they cancelled farscape?

I don't have anything against Sci-Fi as I wasn't into Farscape at the time and still haven't finished it

They've yet to reach Showtime/HBO status

As much as I'm looking forward to SG1 this year I have to agree it's dwarved by my anticipation of BSG's return, for a full 20 episodes this year

Well they somewhat made up for it with Peacekeeper wars. Is wasn't just Sci fi channels fault though unfortunately :ermm:

I'd still rather watch new Farscape than anything but I am really looking forward to seeing how Ben & Claudia are going to change SG1 because I'm sure they will.
