(This isn't trolling, I like Star Trek, and I strongly feel this story won't stand up to detailed questioning)
I can't help thinking some poor sods outside of Forrbidden Planet are going to get beaten up because of this.
I wouldn't read too much into it - all it could mean is that the Trekkies are the only ones who got caught! (or are perhaps more identifiable - hmmm).
Also, we all know how easily statistics can be misinterpreted. After all, the some people having a few TNG videos makes you a hardcore Trekkie :)
This argument, as any vulcan can tell you, is a logical phallacy.
All paedoes are trekkies, therefore all trekkies are paedoes.
By the same logic, it must also be true that all paedoes are canadian, seeing as this report came from the toronto police.
