Title: Lost Season One Is Lost???!!!

Dan Brown - June 15, 2005 01:20 PM (GMT)
Whatever happened to Channel 4 showing 'Lost'?

Firstly it was supposed to start in Feb but the channel took it back to June.

It was supposed to start around June and we are in June and there is no indication to if it is ever going to be shown especially with Big Brother on at the moment.

I hope they do show it.....

and hopefully at a good hour unlike Alias and Angel on five.

It's due to be shown "in the summer" so expect it sometime between now and September  They may well hold off until BB ends :tear: It will be shown primetime though, don't worry :D

little pixie - June 15, 2005 01:27 PM (GMT)
The last article I saw about it, said August ....

I think the Region 1 DVDs are out in Sept, or is it Oct ?

Krazy - June 19, 2005 05:03 PM (GMT)
Lost will be showing on E4 in august.

Dan Brown - June 19, 2005 06:43 PM (GMT)
Well thats not good seeing as how my freeview box won't pick up E4.

How can they justify turning off the analogue signal when I cannot get ITV, Channel 4 or E4 and more on my freeview receiver!

It gets E4+1 though.....

does that mean we will have to wait six more months to get it on C4 after that? :ermm: :(

I'm not quite sure how the freeview thing works (I have Sky) but if you can get E4+1 on it you'll be alright. It's exactly the same as E4 just an hour later

I would assume they`ll do the same as they did with Desperate Housewives , and have E4 showing the series one episode ahead of C4. If that makes sense.

I don't think they've decided yet whether it'll run on E4 first or whether it'll run concurrently with Channel 4 a la Desperate Housewives

Snap, Sarah! :lmao:

Dan Brown - June 20, 2005 01:10 PM (GMT)
Well thats good to hear so I'll just have to wait another hour to see it.

Does anyone esle have problems with freeview and is there a way of fixing them.

I did buy a signal booster, an I got a few extra channels, I was thinking of buying a more powerful one to see if I can get the whole lot.

Outta Sight - July 5, 2005 08:00 AM (GMT)
Finally, Channel 4 have confirmed a start date for the show. August 10th (a Wednesday), 10pm and straight after on E4 for second helpings a la Desperate Housewives

Dan Brown - July 5, 2005 08:41 AM (GMT)
Well it seems as though Channel 4 are promoting it very well, when I went to see War Of The Worlds at my local UCI Cinema they had a trailer for the show, which is quite surprising as I have never seen a trailer for a television show come up before at the cinema, quite a good trailer as well.

Yes, I saw that too. I sat there thinking "What film is this? It sounds a lot like Lost  "

Dan Brown - July 5, 2005 09:37 AM (GMT)
The minute the bloke from Lord Of The Rings came up it occured to me that it was Lost.

I'm still waiting to see a Serenity Trailer at the cinema though....

melian - July 5, 2005 10:19 AM (GMT)
It's a really great trailer for LOST

I wish they would show it on TV :(

yay for the start date.

I'll put the episode titles up on the USD board, a bit nearer to August 10th. If anyone wished to make comments about eps, and hasn't joined the US Drama board yet, here's your chance

Katie, the whole forum is spoilerific atm, but since USD has a dedicated Lost forum it seems wasteful not to use it.

Once the show begins, I'll put up episode titles for people to discuss the show as it screens.

Oh, stay away from the Lost episode discussion thread here, it contains discussions for the whole series, including the finale ;)

I'm looking forward to adding another USD board to my posting skiving schedule :lmao: but I was just a bit worried that I may enter the board to find a thread entitled "so and so dies" before I've even had a chance to start the show :lmao: I was horribly spoiled on 24 season 1 with something like that (won't post what in case people are only just watching) so I'm really wary of being spoiled accidentally.

I hope we can maybe get a bit more activity on USD when this starts, I'm going to give some friends the link and hope they join

 It was the curse of Watch With Kristin on E! News ( the thirtysomething`s Newsnight :whistling: ).

There was a report on Lost and I didn`t turn the sound down quickly enough when I realised what she was talking about

I now have two tapes full of Alias news from E! which I can`t watch in case there are spoilers... You can`t be too careful, you know. I shall probably watch them in two months time and find out they`re full of Greg Grunberg talking about bunions. :lmao:

I saw some spoilers for Lost on the chat transcripts and Kristin's column but I skipped over them (they wouldn't have made sense anyway seeing as I haven't seen an episode and have no idea who's who). Alias on the other hand ........ I'm completely spoiled for Alias S4 and it'll be ages before I actually get to see any eps unless they bring the R2 dvd release forward  . Any chance I'll forget what I know by the time season 4 comes to terrestrial?

I might have to do that, even though I have a perfectly good R2 dvd player. I have absolutely no patience when it comes to these things (waiting for Five to show season 3 was bad enough when I'd already seen it on Bravo, which I don't have anymore), and it seems like as good a reason as any to splash some cash

Oh yeah, I'll take some of that willpower if there's any spare going around :)
