Sisko has to pose as the leader of a group of people that cause a series of riots that are instrumental in restoring the timeline.

This is quite an enjoyable episode - doing what Trek does best and going for a good message show.

Perhaps it's more worrying now rather than 10 years ago, but given the way things are going in America you could well see us heading towards the 2024 of "Past Tense"...

So, is Sisko another paradox? Surely if he always was Gabriel Bell, then the history books would have always said he was, rather than rewriting themselves as soon as they get home

Nice conclusion to the 2 parter, with the fairly obvious "it all works out okay" ending not really detracting from things as this was pretty much a given anyway :)

In a way this ep highlights how different DS9 was from say Voyager, with a fairly violent and bloody conclusion to the hostage situation, which I cant quite see Voyager doing.

Not going to try to answer Phillips question as I'm bound to get a headache :ponder:

Not a bad conclusion. I felt it dragged a little for the first half but then picked up considerably. I was getting a bit fed up with the running "joke" of O'Brien and Kira beaming in to various eras - the flower power one was just embarrassing <_<

Thought this was a pretty decent episode for Avery Brooks. I'm still not entirely convinced by his acting, in that I'm always aware that he is acting rather than seeming natural in the role (imo), but I thought he had some good moments here.

What the hell was going on with Dax's hair and clothes? She looked like a refugee from a Cinderella pantomime

But an attractive one
