When her clan has doubts about her reason for taking Sheridan as a mate, Delenn is required to go to Minbar to attend "the Dreaming". Sheridan sends Marcus and Franklin to Mars to make contact with the resistance there.

Ah - my favourite scene where Marcus starts singing, and ends up going on into the closing credits :)
Again, when rewatching there are a few little things I missed before - such as Ivanova's trip to the Drazi party (debecked in green to boot!), and the fact that the Delenn story doesn't even start until 15-20 minutes into the episode!
I think the main problem with the story here is that in retrospect it's the story we've heard several times before - if anything it just fills in the gaps we were missing (was this the frist time it was revelaed Delenn started the war?)

I believe it was, which adds a whole new dimension to the character. Kind of adds a new perspective to the closing scenes of Severed Dreams where Delenn rides to Sheridan's rescue. Wouldn't have really fancied being in Clark's shoes had anything happened to Sheridan/B5 before she arrived

This comes across as a filler put together with old clips but that's probably because I know the story.
Worth watching for the ending with Franklin's "This can only end with a gunshot" line.
All together now: " I am the very model of a modern Major General...."
Amazing how G & S crop up in B5 and Trek

So Delenn started the war!! :o And is a child of Valen/Sinclair. :o That's one of those very confusing side effects of time travel.
Another good ep though, and love Marcus's song.

Back in the groove as it were.
I guess in the S4 scheme of things I'd almost forgotten this episode and initially thought it was a slightly later Minbari one.
In hindsight this is the first time we know Delenn's part in the war (ignoring later expansion) which was still pretty shocking (No Mercy, No Mercy).
A couple of random thoughts:
When they mentioned Valen marrying and having kids I couldn't help thinking of The Da Vinci Code :)
When Ivanova emerged from the lift and said "Don't ask" my first thought was "Orgy"

I never thought of that. Then again, every time I watch B5 I see something there that I hadn't seen before.
Iried not to think about what Ivanova was up to. Might give me a heart condition :whistling:

I really enjoyed this episode. I love the way it all ties in with In The Beginning, etc. I guess The Dreaming is a fairly standard device but it's really effective here. The way Delenn won't look up at Dukat is a wonderful mirroring of her conversation with Lennier when they first met
As soon as Ivanova appeared with the green sash I thought "Drazi". And I did start laughing when she came out of the lift using her walking stick again :lmao:
Love the teaming up of Marcus and Franklin. I got pissed off with Sheridan for not at least thanking Franklin for offering to find out what happened to his father - no manners <_<
Always have to laugh at the way the crew have to shut Jason Carter up when he's singing over the end credits

Was this the first revalation of Delenn giving the order that started the war? I was sure I'd seen it before, but I suppose it may be for the same reason as mentioned earlier that I am so familiar with the story tht the timing of some of the main "reveals" are a bit hazy. Especially as large chunks of this and other eps were used in "In the Beginning"

Fairly sure it was. Up until this point we all knew that Delenn was instrumental during the war, but not to the point of actually casting the vote to wage war in the first place.
