Jadzia falls in love with a Meridian scientist. The catch is that his planet and his race shift between this universe and a plane of pure energy. They only re-emerge in our universe every century or so. Back on DS9, Quark tries to obtain a holo-image of Major Kira for an erotic holosuite program.

Ferengi Rules of Acquisition:

Number 19" "Satisfaction is not guaranteed"

(Not the tv station but nearly as boring ;) )

Well, um... ah.

I suppose the Quark/Kira subplot was quite amusing... :)

That's exactly what I was thinking whilst watching it last night.

One of those eps where the seconday plot is far more enjoyable than the main plot. I'm starting to wonder after this ep and the Trill homeworld one why I like Dax so much

Easy on the eyes :)

Actually, speaking of Dax, whatever happened to the intellectually superior Dax we saw in the very early episodes of DS9, such as the example in Babel (I think) where Bashir found her in the holosuite meditating over that bubble thing?

Seems it worked better in the long run for her to now play Tongo with the Ferengi, have barely clothed wrestlers in her room and now abandon her career and everything to run off with the first bloke she caps eyes on...

No Spoilers

Well I enjoyed it

It made a nice change of pace from the previous two episodes, and I thought the chemistry between Terry Farrell and Brett Cullen (who'll always be Dave Scott to me since From The Earth To The Moon  ) worked pretty well. I can't remember too many love stories on the series so far but this one was passable enough in a typical Trek kind of way.

I enjoyed the stuff with Quark and Kira, especially the "millionth customer" bit

And exactly how many different characters has Jeffrey Combs played on Star Trek?

Well if you've got Enterprise, you'll see him in at least one more

 Yeah, I remember he was the Andorian, wasn't he

Same applies to W Morgan Sheppard - I caught an episode of Voyager on Sky earlier on with him in it. At least I think it was him under all the make-up - certainly sounded like him

Yeah it was him, you can't really NOT recognise that voice can you? Although for me he'll always be a soul hunter now

 And of course you mentioned Caitlin Brown in the other thread, who's cropped up in both series as well, and TNG's Gambit. Who else? :ponder:

Well of course Pat Tallman did a lot of stunt w**k for TNG as well  The most obvious bit being the scene in Generations where Data pushes Dr Crusher over the side and into the water. Have a close look as she goes into the water, it's Pat

And we're missing probably the most obvious one, Andreas Katsulas. The fantastic Tamalak, not to mention a further character he played on Enterprise

Of course there's probably just as many going the other way; Vaughan Armstrong, Dwight Schultz, Majel Roddenberry all spring to mind.....

And, after last night's viewing, Tracey bleeding Scoggins :(
