Title: 24 Season 1 On Bbc One!
Dan Brown - May 25, 2005 04:29 PM (GMT)
The BBC are showing the first season of 24 again?!!
"BBC One are to repeat the first season of 24.
Starting on 10 June, after Jonathan Ross, BBC One will be screening the hit series on Fridays, showing two episodes back-to-back.
See how Jack Bauer had his first worst day, in a plot involving an attempt to assassinate a Presidential candidate, comical amnesia, and Dennis Hopper escaping from prison."
Taken from the BBC Cult Site.
I thought that they had lost the rights to show 24 to Sky and this meant that they could not repeat 24 or show any new seasons.
I wonder if the repeat gets good ratings whether they'll consider buying and showing season 3 and 4.
Don't mind Season 3 cause I bought it on DVD but if they showed season 4 that would be good as I could save money not buying the DVD.

great
but what about the new season? :ermm:

They are not showing any new seasons at all, just the first season, and on BBC one which is a bit strange seeing as it was originally on BBC 2.
Maybe if the repeat gets good ratings they might show the new season, but I believe they tried to get it before and failed.
But then again I heard they didn't have the rights to show the first season again.
Anyone know the details in regard to rights with shows etc.?

I've never seen 24, but this would give me a great opportunity to start watching it. :D

You've never seen it? You have to start watching! S1 is great (though I think S2 is better) :D

I don't know what the status is with regards to the rights that BBC hold to the seasons of 24 but I've heard that they are looking to change their line up to incorporate more of the US sci-fi/drama programmes. It would make sense, therefore, to show established shows like 24 along with their new aquirements.
