Good ep this one (imo) :)
The usual good performance from Andrew Robinson and the interaction between Garak and Bashir is spot on as well :)
IIRC 1st sighting of Enabran Tain (probably spelt that all wrong) and we learn Garaks 1st name!
The storyline was prety good and the addiction aspect not overplayed and rammed in your face.

And not to mention Bashir's middle name :)
Another great episode - it's a bit obvious though how they've suddenly noticed Garak, and from having him as a character who appeared in a few episodes in Season 1 (indeed, he was supposed to be a one-off character in 'Past Prologue'), he's suddenly grown to the extent that he gets his own episode! :)

I thoroughly enjoyed this episode and it was great to see Garak and Bashir taking centre stage! I could be wrong and somebody correct me if I am but isn't this the first time that the obsidian order is mentioned as well? I loved Quark's reaction when upon hearing the Obsidian order are involved in the technology of the chip in Garak's Head, knowing You don't want to mess with the order!
Is that correct Phillip that Garak was only supposed to be a one-off character? It's a good thing they changed their mind since I think he's the best and most interesting character on DS 9. :)

I'll have to recheck my DS9 companion, but I'm fairly sure that was the case :)

Great episode
I always get very confused when Garak turns up, though, which puts me right in Bashir's shoes I guess
Once again the DS9 Companion spoiled me re future happenings, so I guess I'm going to have to consign it to the shelf until I get round to a rewatch. £16 well spent
It amused me to see the two of them queueing at the Replimat when all they had to do was go to one or the others quarters and use the replicator there
The scenes in Garak's quarters were excellent  Interesting that the Cardassians should have implants of this nature in case they get tortured. Makes a change from the old "cyanide in the false tooth" approach
First mention of the Obsidian Order - I particularly liked Garak's description of them
I should've been keeping count, but I notice they're giving Bashir a lot of McCoy's "I'm a doctor, not a..." lines. In this case he wasn't a botanist
I'm curious to know more about Enabran Tain :ponder:
