When the new series finishes (in about 6 weeks), how do people think about a rewatch of sorts?

Given the size and and availability of the series, a rewatch from episode 1 would be completely impractical, so using a system adapted from a Yahoo Group I lurk at, here's my idea.

Each week, 5 stories can be nominated, and then we can vote for which one we want (alternatively I can be the Overseeing One and make you watch what I choose :)). Then the following week, this particualr story can be discussed, and so it continues.

However, for this to w**k, a) how available is Doctor Who on the various torrent sites, and b ) how extensive are other members collections? After all, if people haven't got the stories to hand, there's no point in doing it :)

I've just had a quick look. Obviously the vast majority of results are from the new series, but I did see the complete Colin Baker, the complete Peter Davison, and the complete Sylvester Mccoy collections. Plus some others dotted around, but obviously someone better qualified than me could tell me whether they are films or tv episodes, and which Doctor was in them etc.

I wouldn't be averse to watching a few of the old ones. Even if was just to remind myself what it used to be like. :)

If you could list a few, I could confirm what they are... :)

However, the last two entries are black and white stories from the mid 60's, if that make sa difference :)

Of the list, the ones that aren't straightforward stories are:

The Pescatons (story released on LP back in 1975)
The Final End (a set of clips from the final episode of The Evil of the Daleks - the complete episode no longer exists in the archives)
Galaxy 4 (this is another missing story - this file could either be the audio of the story which still exists, or a fan-made 'slideshow' reconstruction of the story).

All the others are standard stories; I will try and sort out a brief episode list to upload here tomorrow :)

Well I've got all the DVD's so far, as well as The Daleks, Genesis of the Daleks and almost every episode UK Gold have shown on vhs (minus a couple of Colin Baker stories for obvious reasons :whistling: ) So I'd be up for a rewatch whenever you are Phillip :thumbsup:

I would say we should start with a Tom Baker story.....of which I have...( in no particular order)

But its not entirely up to me.....

For simplicity's dsake I'm tempted to go for something on DVD, since it's easier to get hold of than on VHS :)

When I get one of the admins to set up a rewatch board :D

How about we aim for starting it this weekend, and maybe doing one story a week (perhaps one every two weeks depending on how things go :)

I'll set up Pyramids on it now, and we'll let this one run for 2 weeks and judge how well things w**k :)

For the next story, I was thinking about Revelation of the Daleks - while not a favourite of mine, it has just come out on DVD :)
