when angel was turned into a human in S1, by his blood mixing with that demons - then it was prophesied that one day he would be human, is this what the prophecy meant?

also, why was the shanshu thing such a big deal, couldnt he be human again whenever he wants by just getting the blood of that type of demon again? :unsure:

Prophecies can mean many things and usually only become clear after the thing has happened.

And Angel didn't want to be human. He didn't have the Oracles take the day away because of his love for Buffy and fear that she might die, he had it taken away because he couldn't bear the thought of being normal like everyone else.

when he had to sign away the shanshu , he seemed quite gutted and was asking harmony if she missed being human etc, but even if the shanshu wouldnt come to pass, if he wanted to be human couldnt he just find another one of those demons with the special blood?

or did he more want the shanshu to come true so that he felt he had atoned for all the evil he did and that higher powers had granted it to him? it strikes me that he would never want to cheat ...

I'm not gonna say too much because of spoilers but though you might think you want something, when you get it, it doesn't always turn out the way you thought it would. Which Angel found out in IWRY.

but it's true that he could have mess up with the shansu prophecy if he had stay human .... and end the world early :ermm:

angel is supposed to stop the wolfran and hart apocalypse (or help them with it, depend in what mood he is) and then the power that be (or maybe someone else) by making him human definitly (unless a vampire decide he want angelus back .... :fear: and revamp him)

That's what I always thought. I think Angel's just one of those moaners who always thinks the glass is half empty. As soon as he's happy, he'll nitpick and find something else to angst about. He can't bear the thought of becoming human instantly through the demon, as then his whole "I want to be a REAL man" routine will be thrown completely out the window. ;)

probably because he doesn't want to be an other person to save for buffy, he want to be able to fight his own fight without having buffy coming to his rescue because he became "xander harris" (human and no power but willing to help even if i end up beat up)
