Great episode this one (imo)

Brings the gradually changing O'Brien/Bashir relationship to the fore and has a nice whodunnit type plot running through it (if you see what I mean  ). Despite knowing they're alive I always get a lump in my throat at the crews reaction and Sisko telling Keiko the news

Nice bit of outsmarting the enemy at the end by Dax/Sisko and love the bit where Miles asks Keiko for a coffee in the infirmary :D

Part of a run of episodes I always enjoy

As is this one :)

One of the best episodes of the season IMO.

As I mentioned earlier, I always have a weakness for O'Brien off the station episodes, but even moreso when it's a O'Brien/Bashir vehicle. I don't know who it was but whoever thought to make this pair friends deserves a pat on the back. One of the joys over the series for me is watching the character dynamics. They're as fluid as the story itself.

Great character writing, and a pretty decent story to boot.

This is one of those things I've always thought the various Star Treks do really well, take two of the characters, put them in a life or death situation, then sit back and just let them talk. TNG did it several times, and very well, and this is very good, too.

Colm Meaney gets ever more impressive and I'm continuing to see a development in Bashir as a character and Siddig as an actor.

Slightly amused at the whole thing hinging on Sisko believing that the recording may have been tampered with just because of Keiko's assumption about her husband, but at least it sets up that very funny last line

As I've mentioned elsewhere, I like the scene at Quark's with Kira and Dax. Quark's little speech is very funny and yet oddly touching

Probably my favourite moment in the episode though, is when the ambassador gives Sisko the recording. The quiet little "thank you" that Sisko says is, I think, the most moving moment of the whole story :)
