Why do you feel wary of CD wow? I must have purchased at least 90 DVDs from CD wow and have discovered like many others from various DVD Forum's that they offer a fantastic service which many rate as the number 1 DVD online retailer, including myself.
Customer service is second to none (should you be unfortunate enough to have a problem you can send CD wow an e-mail which they respond to usually within 24 hours solving any problems with no fuss), prices are excellent, delivery times are very good.

I have found them excellent, too. One dvd went missing in the post, I queried it and they sent a replacement straight away, no hassle.
The only thing I have heard is that a friend did get hit by Customs & Excise for a box set bought from them, probably something to be aware of.

Yeah I think that was a problem last year Steve which I think has now been sorted out. It's probably best to send them an e-mail and ask what the situation is although I'm fairly certain you won't get stung with a customs bill. Strangely I have only bought one box-set from them and that was before Customs charges was an issue.

I'm afraid of Customs charges, which could knock up the bargain to a. well, non-bargain. Plus you have to wait ages for delivery.
I prefer to shop round Amazon, Play and Dvd.co.uk :)

Just send them an e-mail and I'm sure they will ease your fears of Customs charges. I admit that DVD.co.uk are fantastically quick but CD wow generally only take three days may be four and that's for a package shipped from Hong Kong! I am my thoughts, Just send them an e-mail asking whether or not you are going to get stuck with a customs bill because your very worried about it.
By the way did you notice on the guest forum I posted a link to save 50 p at CD wow which should make a box-set £19.49.

It seems to be pot luck as to whether you get stung for customs charges or not. Theoretically, I think the import limit is £18 so anything bought for more than that should be charged customs fees. But not every package is charged, so I doubt CD-Wow will be able to tell you whether you'd have to pay more or not.

I'm fairly sure I remember reading on a DVD Forum somewhere that lots of people were concerned about this and e-mailed to find out. I'm also reasonably certain that they have changed their delivery routes so that it comes through eastern Europe where perhaps they pay less tax or whatever so you don't get charged. Either way a quick e-mail should ease any fears.
