Title: The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy
Description: has received an update

The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy now notes; after some considerable research that a fourth radio series of 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' will be broadcast over the next eight weeks on BBC Radio Four at 6:30 pm every Tuesday.

The guide also states that although BBC Radio Four is considered to be an alien radio station, it is perfectly safe and reasonable to listen to it for this half hour and that no lawyer can sue for compensation if you happen to catch what is on before or after it is shown.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Exhibition opens at the Science Museum on 28 May 2005. (London)

It will recreate the fantastic voyage of Arthur Dent, and along the way take a look at some of the science which shapes our life, the universe and everything. Sets, props and footage form the new film will all be on display.

Yeah I saw a little of that although I would have preferred to watch from the beginning of the episode since I don't think I've ever seen it before. I'm not sure if I'm that fussed with it either but if there's a chance to see it again in the future I'll certainly give it to go in the wake of the new movie

I set my video to tape it and it missed the end. Did it finish later than in the TV mag, or is my video playing up again?
I went to see the film on Sat - it was OK but I think the TV series is better, was hoping to tape them all instead of buying the DVD... ah well...

I managed to watch the second episode of the Hitchhikers TV version and thought it was truly evil! :fear:

Trillian was played by a screeching blonde in a tight costume and the sets were very eighties. Both things put me off. I will watch the next episode, but will adapt the same approach as when watching anything devised by Phil Redmond - take the headphones off when the blonde comes on!

However, I did enjoy the second radio episode on Tuesday. It had a great quote: "These people are the creeps of the cosmos, polluting the celestial infinate with cell phones, palmtops and computer operating systems that never w**k properly or when they do, perform functions that no sane person would require of them" (Ford Prefect, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy)
