Well, far too much, my head is throbbing.
Infinite Crisis, is fast approaching, the first mini series, Day of Judgement, launched this week with a stonking beginning. The first issue of OMAC project, comes out Thursday and threatens to be a major bloodbath among DC's superhero community.
J M Straczynski, has been talking up his new role as writer on Marvels other flagship book, The fantastic four, his run begins in Junes issue 457. He's going to expand on the teams origins...... Was it just a random convergence of cosmic events that gave them their powers? Only JMS knows, for now.
House of M. Marvel's big event this year, is a direct follow on from the events of last years Avengers: Dissasembled storyline. Magneto takes over the world to protect his mentaly unstable and uber powerful daughter, The Scarlet Witch. But she is re-writing the universe behind his back. It's going to take the combined power of the X-Men, The New Avengers and the Fantastic Four to bring them down (if they can)
Peter David, cointinues to go from strength to strength on his new run on the Incredible Hulk. It reads like poetry. Just beautiful.
Amazing Spiderman. Peter, MJ and Aunt May all move into the New Avengers tower. They have their own appartments and Aunt May has a little bit of a romance blossoming with the Avengers butler Jarvis. Peter's not liking the idea.
Batman. So they finally did it. They brought Jason Todd back from the dead, for real this time. Robin 2 has been resurrected as the new Red Hood, the original villainous identity of the Joker, before the chemical accident. How is Bruce dealing with this? Badly. And he's decided that the time has come to have his revenge on his Justice League "team mates" for mind wiping him during last years Identity Crisis. You can just tell that's not going to be pretty.
Joss Whedon has confirmed that his run on Astonishing X-Men will continue past issue 12, he won't be drawn on how long he'll stay with the series, but he promises that he has no "immediate plans" to go anywhere :thumbsup:
That's it for the world of comics for now, but as soon as I have something juicy to report, you guys will be the first to know. (OK second to know as I'd need to be the first to know so that I could pass it on to you, but you know what I mean :lol: )
