After he has recovered from the shock of seeing her, Anna gives Sheridan an ultimatum - come to Z'ha'dum with her, or never know what happened to her there.

:o :o

So the Shadow's reasons for fighting is kinda revealed, even though it didn't make a whole lot of sense. Anna is kinda like Morden after all (no real shocker there), and Sheridan sacrifices himself to destroy the main base at Z'ha'dum.. or does he? :ermm:

I don't for a minute believe he's dead, but how could he have survived that fall? And I take it Garibaldi has hitched a lift within a Shadow vessel back to Z'ha'dum? Is this according to Sheridan's cryptic instructions?

Hmm, lots to ponder on...

Am just downloading the first part of S4 now.

When I originally watched this I wasn't the Cult geek I am now - I had no idea if there was another season let alone if Sheridan was in it so as you can imagine I was gobsmacked at the end - (oops I was going to mention another show or two there for comparison then realised they may be spoilers for some).

One thing that did rankle slightly was Sheridan's "The personality is nothing like Anna's" - seemed a bit hasty considering the timeframe and it wasn't as if she was a kind of drone - she seemed quite chipper.

I loved and still love the central dilemma of B5 - Order (Vorlons) or Chaos(Shadows) - their arguments on evolution through conflict are actually pretty strong.

Of course I've watched the first 2 of S4 today and I'm going to watch the next couple in a little while :p

With many TV shows the first quarter of any season is usually quite tepid (relatively speaking at least), with the episodes used to take stock of the effects of the previous season's finale.

The first six episodes of season 4 set the tone for the rest of the season, a season which for me, still remains probably the best season of television I've ever seen. The pacing's fantastic, necessity being the mother of invention, but still, breakneck doesn't even begin to do it justice

Great ep - even though it doesn't really actually reveal anything that we didn't already know or suspect about the Vorlons and Shadows.

LOL at Kosh's most uncriptic comment ever "Jump. Now."

Excellent end of season cliffhanger (no pun intended)

On to S4, as James says: probably the best season of anything

First up, this is a brilliant episode without a, ahem, shadow of doubt. The only problem I have with it is that it's a little too talky - there's so much exposition (Justin is really annoying <_< ) that the action is almost forgotten, we get one PPG shot from Sheridan and the rest of his fight is left to the imagination. To my mind that puts its impact a little below that of Chrysalis and The Fall of Night.

Having said all that, the final 10 minutes is superb, and the falling out between Sheridan and Delenn at the start of the episode is brilliant, possibly Boxleitner's finest hour in the show

And G'Kar's voiceover at the end never fails to send chills down my spine :fear:

a great episode (a little too much talking) and a great finale (sheridan finale mission ... or is it?)

since the time the vorlons knew kosh was still "alive" in sheridan, did they know there was a reason for it or they just didn't have time to act to retrieve that little bit of him? :ermm:

the whole vorlon vs shadow approach to life :ponder: so ivanova flashback about babylon five end was in fact if sheridan had done nothing or more exactly just refused the offer.

Could be wrong on this one, but I don't remember there being any insinuation that the Vorlons suspect any part of Kosh survived the battle with Morden and his associates.

in 3x18 Walkabout

the new ambassador "kosh" was looking for "something" remaining of kosh and lytia told him that there might be a bit from him in someone else. (energy, spirit,...?!? )

Crichton Kicks - November 5, 2006 05:40 PM (GMT)
Ooh, you're right. I thought that came a little later on. Obviously not!

Can't remember exactly now, did she tell Kosh II that she suspected that the other piece resided in Sheridan?

prophecy girl - November 5, 2006 05:54 PM (GMT)
iirc, "kosh" asked lytia if she knew if there was any piece of kosh somewhere (was it too late?), she said no. but after the battle with the shadow (she had a flashback of kosh death or something like that). lytia went back to the vorlon and told him that she was probably wrong about telling him that nothing of kosh was left but i don't think she said where or in who

^^ Pretty much what I thought. It's hard to say too much without being spoilerish, but suffice to say I don't think Kosh II, at this point, realises who has the other piece of Kosh :)

Season four's arguably the best season. It is IMO anyway
