I've noticed that one or two signatures are a bit too big and have received one or two complaints about this. The reason for this is that if you have your monitor set at 800x600 resolution, everything is a lot bigger, and if you have a signature that looks quite big in standard 1024x768 resolution, it’s going to look huge in 800x600 and will take up a full page.


So, from now on all signatures mustn’t be any bigger than 150 pixels in height and 550 pixels in length. If you look at my signature, it gives you a perfectly clear picture of this.

If you are not sure about the size of your signature, or have an image that you’d like down-sizing, pm me.

I'll give a days notice starting from now so that everyone has a chance to see this and react, after that if you’ve still got a signature that’s too big I’ll pm you and we could either resize it or take it down/change it ect :)

My sig's purely text so I'm assuming it's ok but if it's causing any problems, by all means let me know and I'll change it :thumbsup:

Same here. What's the limit on text in a sig, rob? Is there a limit on the number of characters, or the amount of size it takes up? :)

It gets a bit tricky with character limits, because you need a high amount set to include a banner if I recall :unsure:


Yeah text is perfectly ok, yours are both fine, the height sort of matches the guide of 150 pixels in height, nothing wrong with that at all. It's when people have a full song, verse for verse in height that it becomes a problem ;)

But I don't want to shrink it anymore, it's too cute :D

Yours is fine Jamie, I think we can let a few pixels slide ;) The whole aim of this is to rid the board of those great big ones (ooo errr) :)

mine was pretty darn large so i changed it. :)
