Title: Season 2, Lincoln Highway
Description: Episode 21

Summary
Clutching his throat, Justin runs fearfully through a cornfield, when he looks up and sees a spider's web. The center of the web glows in the shape of a five-pointed star, and then turns into a Ferris wheel...and Justin jerks awake in his chair.
Later, Iris hears him talking to Balthus about his dreams, which, he says, are like those he had as a child. "The carnival hides my enemy, even as he draws closer," he tells his onetime mentor. "He means to destroy us."

:x at the tar and feathering, gruesome :fear:
I was worried that Ben wouldn't catch up to them but of course now he has lost some valuable time.
I was very happy to see Jonesy cured and using his leg again even though he often irritates me it was a rare happy moment. I was also quite relieved to see Libby intact, I though the silly girl might turn back.
Even scarier than Sophie w**king at Brother Justin's house is the fact that she is starting to like and admire him :fear:
Thought Eleanor might be for the chop now.
Ruthies (Lodtz) writing that Sophie is the OMEGA - the end? or does it mean something else.

There are a few intruiging theories around the 'Omega' thing ;)

This was another fantastic episode. This season seems to be better than the last, what does anyone else think?
Poor Jonesy, the ferris accident wasn't even his fault. Being tarred and feathered, yuck. Especially at Libby trying ot peel off some feathers and getting a layer of skin :x I was wondering how they were going to get out of that mess when along came our hero
It looks like Ben is creating his own disciples ;) And Sophie is falling to the dark side :ph43r:

I'm not sure if its better but they certainly had some striking moments in this season
the tarring being one of the best (or worst ) depending on which way you look at it.

Oh boy, this was just sooo good. Outstanding and so many good points. That tarring and feathering scene was amazing although unpleasant. It was very distressing, seeing Libby that way, especially when those nasty vultures came sniffing around. And then of course, along came Ben. Lol at Jonesy thinking he was an angel. As Ben said, couldn't be further from the truth.
I'm with Alex on the Justin/Sofie thing. And Ruthie/Lodz writing 'Sofie is the Omega' is intriguing... I can't wait to see how that pans out. Ruthie's possession is about the scariest thing for me.
Poor Eleanor. And Norman... is Iris trying to keep him quiet, or is she really plotting with him?
The scene with Stroud doping up Scudder got to me too... he really is a nasty piece of w**k.
When I first heard about the show, I was intrigued. I just can't believe it's actually as good as it is. In some ways, the outcome seems predictible and inevitable, but with each episode, new questions are raised and there is a new twist to be encountered. Like Jamie on the cancellation thread, I don't want the show to end, but on the other hand, I'm eager to see how things pan out.
I'm looking forward to the season 2 dvd release so I can watch the whole lot over a short time and really get to grips with it.
Andrew :fear: but

 I watched it again on Sunday and it took my breath away again.
It is sooo good. The others are just as good Andrew, savour them
I can't believe how it is still just as compulsive a second time around, apart from the script I think the performances from the cast are just wonderful

Jonesy being tarred and feathered was awful  :x thank god ( or whoever ;) )that Ben came along. Its really good to see Ben looking confident and in control and knowing where he's going rather than just drifting along, there's been a much greater sense of urgency and momentum in the last couple of episodes.
I'm very intrigued by Iris :ponder: she's gone to such length's to protect Justin ( this episode included ) and yet is talking to Norman about exposing him  and I'm very worried about Sophie when she first turned up at Justin's I thought she knew what she was doing but now it looks like she's falling under his spell. :o Hmm so the person most close to Justin maybe about to betray him and the person most close to Ben is maybe under Justin's spell. Its getting complicated.
Oh and Justin can turn his eyes black on command. Thats not good. ;)

I'm about 2/3 way through a rewatch of the first season (thanks to Alex ;) ) and I'm enjoying the series as much this time as the first
I think that Carnivale is a series that I'll be able to watch time and time again :D
