Title: Season 4 Comments?

Maria - April 26, 2005 10:41 AM (GMT)
I have now finished watching all of S4 and can I say. Wah? I don't really understand the ending but I am hoping that was intended to get you hoked on S5.

Angels lack of interest in Buffy and Sunnydale really got on my nerves, here's the gem, oh great, whatever! "Buffy can handle herself" That's it? The end of the world is neigh and all he can say is you dela with it? I know he has his own battles but he could have shown more interest.

I totally don't understand why no one can remember Connor. Obviously that was intended to keep you guessing and Connor has now got a real famil. Must have been some deal he made with Lilah? I know this will be explained so I'mn not too concerned about that.

But...if no one remembers Connor, how are they explaining Jasmine? Maybe I will understand more with S5??

Loved the glass window and Angel  Loved Wesley and his "Die Hard" moment

I am a bit disappointed with S4 tbh but I think once a do a rewatch it will make more sense to me.

What are your takes on the ending and the season as a whole?

Season four was great, a rollercoaster ride of shocks and cliffhangers. The final episode was very disappointing (a bit like Restless) but was intended to set up s5.

Angel is the only one who can remember Connor and it was he who made a deal with W & H to give him a normal life.

Wihout revealing any soilers, isn't that a bit like what Angel did with PTB in I will remember you? Bloody hell. All these kids flying around in the Buffyverse that have ewither been forgotten or never really existed. To me, this storyline is a little too much like the reversal of Dawn!

Bill The Bloodless - April 26, 2005 10:59 AM (GMT)
A Dawn reversal spell is good way to describe it, though for his new family it would be the same as it was Buffy and the scoobies.

It's a little similar to the IWRY thing but in this instance the events still happened where as before they were completely wiped.

The trouble now though is that I was planning to take a break before S5 as to savour my last season but it looks like I am going to watch it all!!!!!!!!!

season four is fantastic, but a big build up and we end up with jasmine :ermm: a good character but after the death, rain of fire, zombies, ............ you would expect more from someone who took the time to release angelus .....

home was kinda of ok, nice to see lylah one more time, the gang finding a place in wolfran and hart .... for the best ? i kinda doubt it

connor new life .... well good for him and for us .... i just wait for next season explanation of jasmine and everything else without connor.

Like I said on another thread recently- happiness+ slight wobbly feeling: my piggy bank is almost full for my series 5 investment, just hoping I've forgotten more bits I liked than the dodginesses I actually remember. But I'm now completely re-sold on s.4 after forking out for it and wallowing in style.

Considering how many people have moaned about AS5 I have hung on rather than rushing in and purchasing it. Mehitabel if you find a cheap DVD anywhere please post here so we can all join in. sk

Aha! Realise I was talking garbage in my previous on here- (sunshine on keyboards causing bad maths)- It's 3 I've just finished, 4 I'm hoping to pounce on - and have still never seent he final series. And sadly, don't have a DVD yet, but I'll keep you informed.

Season 3 was the rollercoaster for me. Season 4 however was a disappointment, mainly because of the loss of Cordelia and the rewriting of the significance of previous events. The appearance of Faith and the final episode, saved it, for me, from being a total disappointment.

Season 5 does clear a lot of things up but a lot of things are just confusing.
It was like Dwan history was pretty much re-written!

Watched the first 3 episodes of season 4 today, and I really enjoyed them.
