can anyone help me?
I have never seen this film but as I have the other two i intend to buy the dvd that came out today.
I just need to know is the extended edition worth buying for the extra 10 mins or not?

It's only an extra £3 on play, so I'd say go for it.

Ken I'm a big fan of both the first two Blade movies but Blade Trinity is a diabolical movie. If I were you I would rent Blade Trinity before buying because it really is that bad.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo, don't say that :( Just bought it and am scheduled to watch it this weekend. Admittedly, my reasons for buying it are totty rather than plot related (Karen will understand :lmao: ) but I was kinda hoping the film would be OK too

I didn't think Trinity was bad. It's just a bog-standard blood and violence movie, much like the first two. The Blade films are 'brain into neutral' movies, so I wasn't disappointed when I saw it. There's really not much difference between the three, imo.

LOL Katie. I don't know what you mean :whistling:
I actually like this film. It's nothing spectacular in terms of story or dialogue, but if it's fights and swords and cool weapons and blood and gore and sexy vamps you want, this is the film for you  (not to mention sexy, half naked, sweaty, muscled, wise-cracking Ryan Reynolds  )

I have to disagree strongly with that since this the huge difference between the quality of the first two Blade movies and Blade Trinity. While Blade Trinity is full of action it's just bog-standard run-of-the-mill action which isn't very exciting. You've got an extremely poor leading bad guy who is coincidentally Dominic Purcell who played John Doe in John Doe.
considering he's the big bad of the movie on first encounter with Blade he doesn't fight his enemy he runs away! What's up with that ?
I've got nothing against the actor my gripes are aimed at the writer/director David S Goyer who gives him nothing to do. I never really felt Blade or the other characters were in serious peril or danger at any point, not really. The Blade movies had a certain feel and were kind of cool without trying to be cool if you know what I mean. Blade Trinity seemed like it was trying to be cool but it wasn't.
I also particularly disliked "wisecracking Ryan Reynolds" but if you like this guy the film is going to be more up your street. The fight sequences were particularly generic and felt lacking for all of the characters. Basically the film's a mess and I haven't been this disappointed with a movie since watching Matrix revolutions .

I did quite enjoy the fight scenes/special effects/weaponry etc (particularly loved the ultra violet cross bow type thingy :lmao: ) I never saw Blade 2 and only have very minimal recollections of the original Blade so I wasn't in a position to make comparisons which probably made it easier for me to enjoy it

Oh come on, you can't be suggesting that the other Blade films had a *good* leading bad guy?
The Blade trilogy, to me, was never anything truly outstanding or original. I enjoyed the first two films as a gore-fest with decent action shots and cool weaponry, and Trinity delivered on those counts. I really didn't see anything wrong with Trinity that wasn't wrong with the other two Blade movies as well - none had a particularly sparkling script for example.

yeah why on hell, did they put a chippendale as the human form of dracula <_< and not really a good actor at that.
the last trinity was the worse of the trilogy
i will say the first one was the best, there were good things in the second (but the ubervamp were mostly ugly ... imo)
