US magazine TV Guide rates the top 25 cult shows ever.
The latest issue of US Radio/TV Times equivalent TV Guide features a rundown of the top 25 cult shows ever - as they see it.
The predicatable choices are there, of course - Star Trek tops the poll, with Buffy at number three, while the X Files gets a controversially high rating with the number two slot.
At number four is critics' darling Farscape, while everyone's darling The Simpsons is at number six.
British shows make a good showing, with The Prisoner and Monty Python's Flying Circus in the top ten. Doctor Who appears in the rather desultory 18 slot, just beaten by the Avengers. And Brit fashion bitch comedy Absolutely Fabulous nips in at number 24.
The full rundown can be found in the pages of this week's issue of the guide, which features four collector's covers, depicting The Simpsons, Buffy, Star Trek and The X Files.

Well I am sorry but no 1 was obvious
Not really suprised at no 2 either I believe it still has a massive following in the states that wants it back.
Suprised about B5 after everything you have all said.
And DOCTOR WHO's position is just annoying and a joke.
I have very little confidence in any poll that has B5 outside the top 10 kendo :)
Looking down the list there are too many oddities for me to take it too seriously.
And at the end of the day popularity doesn't equate to quality, otherwise Baywatch would be the best show on Earrth ;) Although I guess for some people it probably is
And where's THE OUTER LIMITS ?? For my money infinitely better than the inferior TWILIGHT ZONE :(
I subcribe to TV Guide and I often feel that they try a little to hard to please everyone. Instead of just giving us their own opinions.
