A strong ending to the mini-arc. Interesting to see O'Brien losing some of his dislike of Julian, more interesting political background and a surprise (on the 1st time round anyway) when Winn helps to stop Jaro (sp?) by helping to get the evidence of Cardassian involvement in the coup in to the open.

Good stuff, and unusually for Trek, a strong conclusion to a multi-parter! The Circle/Cardassian conspiracy is exposed, and Sisko regains control of DS9, with Li Nalas finally becoming a genuine hero when he sacrifices himself to save Sisko.
All good stuff. The political shenanigans between the Bajoran factions and the struggle to become the new Kai are interesting, and a nice backdrop to the the action.

The best part of the trilogy IMO. A nice juxtaposition of the Bajoran's occupying the station while the Federation people are fighting a guerilla campaign against them, all of the while, their own guerilla warfare expert, Kira, is off the station.
Amusing also to see Winn's political instincts telling her to switch sides at exactly the right time.
A really strong set of episodes to kick off the second season, none of the momentum built up towards the end of last season appears to have been lost.

Very enjoyable, with plenty of action and political shenanigans. One aspect of the episode I like is that Terry Farrell gets a chance to show another side of Jadzia, and for almost the first time the character's humour seems to be more than just smug self-assurance :)
The scenes with her and Kira in the Bajoran craft are well handled although for some reason I seemed to remember them lasting longer
The one thing that didn't sit quite right was Li's sacrifice in the end, in that it was way too obvious and "Hollywood" in its execution, although I liked his "Off the hook after all" line to Sisko. I understand why, in terms of the series, he couldn't hang around but I would have liked a better end for him.
Love the fact that Rom sold Quark's seat to a Dabo girl :lmao: Although I'm not quite sure (and can't remember) why he was allowed to get away with his auctioning of tickets. Seems to be a trend which continues pretty quickly.
Top quality
