Last Christmas I was given a copy of the book "THE TOP 1001 DVDS YOU SHOULD OWN" written by Mark wright who is the reviews editor for What DVD magazine.
In this he claims the top 10 SCI FI/ FANTASY DVD'S ARE:
ALIEN
BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY
THE LORD OF THE RINGS - THE FELOOWSHIP OF THE RING - EXTENDED EDITION
THE MATRIX REVISITED
MINORITY REPORT
PLANET OF THE APES
STAR TREK II THE WRATH OF KHAN DIRECTORS CUT
STAR WARS EPISODE II ATTACK OF THE CLONES
THE TERMINATOR
TERMINATOR 2 JUDGEMENT DAY
What do you think to this selection? Is there any one here you take particular annoyance against???

You can pretty much scratch Planet of the Apes and Attack of the Clones and replace them with The Two Towers and Return of the King SE (when it's released).
Aliens would probably replace Alien for me and where's Blade Runner ?? Donnie Darko ??

Havent seen Donnie Darko but i agree with you about Aliens.
I would replace STARWARS ATTACK OF THE CLONES with one of the original series.

Don't think they're releasing the individual releases Ken, you'd have to go for the upcoming trilogy boxset. ;)

reminds me, I'll have to get my order in soon I think otherwise I'll forget. Not that bad actually £20-odd for the set.
Although one of my friend's is more than a little irked that they're the SEs. :rolleyes:

The first thing I heard from him on the subject was;
"Whhhhhy ?? No !!!!! Han shoots first !!!!"
On the basis that they changed that scene around in the first one where Greedo has Han cornered at the bar table. Han unlatches his pistol under the table and shoots him. In the SE Greedo shoots first so as to not make Han look like a rogue, which of course he was supposed to be anyway :rolleyes:

Never actually seen the special editions - always only watched the originals I have already got so I am hoping these dvd's are the specials or they could do what others have done and put both versions on!!

Won't happen Ken. Lucas has already said that the original versions will never see the light of day again :(
Of course, that's probably until we've all shelled out for the versions coming in September :)
