angle left buffy coz he said it wasnt fair on her coz he couldnt take in to the sun light etc so why does he nearly start a relationship with cordy? the only reason it didnt happen is coz connor dumped angel in the sea and cordy went up to the ptb.
so what does angel think he can give cordy that he couldnt give buffy. :ermm: :unsure:

In terms of the series, he couldn't have Buffy.
And it depends on what stage of the ATS you are talking about.

I think you mean that if Angel couldn't take Buffy into the sunlight and give her what she deserved then how could he do the same with Cordy.
Also how did Angel think he could have sex with Cordelia and not with Buffy? I mean in Awakening he dreamt that he was sleeping with Cordy which made him lose his soul.

He never cared about anyone the way he cared about Buffy - I am not just saying this because I love the Angel Buffy relationship but the guy lost his soul after sleeping with her and no one else had that effect on him.
Buffy was so important to him he had to leave.
Besides he spent all his time with cordy anyway she was w**king for him so she was w**king his hours she didn't have a seperate life like Buffy and they were linked cos of the visions!

Cordy did. It may not have actually happened, but his "perfect" day simulation or whatever it was (which made him lose his soul) included sleeping with Cordy.

I ahve to say, it has often peeed me off the way he thought he could be happy with Cordie but not Buffy. We all know of course that Angel had to leave Buffy because he was about to start his own show.... but I do think that he shouln't ahve tried to create a relationship with Cordie that obviously wasn't going to go anywhere.

But this is where my brain starts to fry- he knew he could be happy with Buffy: that was the problem. How were we supposed to grasp (because Lorne didn't give bad advice) that Angel could go for it with Cordy, be happy, make her happy, and not have the happy problem kick in?
(The writers on viagara at end of s. 3, changing to silly pills for the suration of 4, maybe/)
