Warner Bros Home Video is set to release the first season of Without a Trace later this year, probably in one of the later months of the third quarter (July-Sept).
The show follows a special unit of the FBI that's given the task of finding missing people. The series stars Anthony LaPaglia, Poppy Montgomery, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Enrique Murciano and Eric Close. It has won two Emmy awards, and LaPaglia picked up a Golden Globe for his work on the series.

Whilst I enjoyed watching this whilst it was on, I really don't think it is the type of thing I would buy on DVD (unless it were really cheap!!) as now we already know the how and why and who for each episode, and the characters are nowhere near as interesting and complex as those in say CSI.

I'll probably get it. At the end of the day we could really say the same about any show, particularly shows like WAT and CSI, the prinicple still holds the same, we know who, why, how and when at the end of each episode :)

Yeah, but all was saying was that I don't like any of the characters enough in WAT to warrant buying it. I was much more invested in the CSI team, even just after the first season. Besides, I always find the what, when and how much more facinating in CSI!!

That's true :)
I've missed a good percentage of Season 1 of WAT though thanks in large to C4, hence I'll probably get it to at least fill in the gaps :)

Yeah I heard that Channel 4 didn't show all the Eps from series 1 - perhaps I will be persuaded to go and buy the boxset. Although will have to wait for Region2 - bummer
Remember Season 2 comes to Channel 4 after Big Brother finishes - hopefully they will have bought all teh eps from this season!

A further update on the R1 release, it'll be in Widescreen. Yay :)

We received word from Warner Bros today that an incorrect aspect ratio was posted on their press site regarding Without a Trace: Season 1. The episodes on the DVD will be anamorphic widescreen (1.78:1), not the 1.33:1 full frame image we reported on earlier.
I've sure everyone that has emailed us to express their frustrations over a full frame release will be happy to know it was a simple flub when the specs were posted. More information on the DVD release can be found on the Release Info page.
Also, Warner has changed the cover art a little bit, replacing the individual character shots seen on the previous cover shot with versions that they liked better.
