ABC PUTS IN EARLY 2005-06 SEASON ORDERS FOR FOUR CURRENT SERIES
"Alias," "Boston Legal," "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost" Slated to Return Next Season
The ABC Television Network has given "Alias," "Boston Legal," "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost" early pick-ups for the 2005-06 season, the network announced today.
"Alias," now in its fourth season, places a strong No. 2 in its new time period among Total Viewers (11.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.7/11), opposite competition that includes Fox's "American Idol." Compared to its performance at the same point last season, "Alias" has grown by 2.8 million viewers and by 34% among Adults 18-49. In fact the series is delivering its highest-rated season ever. "Alias" stars Jennifer Garner as Sydney Bristow, Victor Garber as Jack Bristow, Ron Rifkin as Arvin Sloane, Michael Vartan as Michael Vaughn, Carl Lumbly as Marcus Dixon, Kevin Weisman as Marshall Flinkman, Greg Grunberg as Eric Weiss and Mia Maestro as Nadia Santos. The series was created by J.J. Abrams, who executive-produces along with Ken Olin and Jeff Melvoin. Jeffrey Bell, Jesse Alexander and Jeff Pinkner are co-executive producers. "Alias" is from Touchstone Television.

Have checked - I`m thinking of Boston Public - starting on April 25th at 10pm on Living TV - Is it the same programme with a name change over here, perhaps ? :huh:

D'oh! It's going to show on Living tv but not sure whether it's started yet. Stupid thing is I actually read about it in this month's Sky mag but had completely forgotten :lmao: No doubt it'll be in a 9pm slot so will have to contend with everything else :rolleyes:

Not that I'm complaining but would Alias have survived so long without JG and innumerable skimpy costumes? Is the idea and the actual story good enough to have got it this far?

No, 2 different shows. Boston Legal is law (Well, dur! :lmao: ) and Boston Public is teachers. But it looks like both are starting on Living tv this month!! :thumbsup:

I think so :D The scripts are good, the pace fast, the other actors are great.................but it's good to have JG on board, LOL :thumbsup:

From what I can see................they are both by David E.Kelly. Boston Public ended last year and Boston Legal took over :D

I think so, maybe not from what I've heard about S3 though. Also the majority of fans are hetrosexual women but then again, Michael Vartan and David Anders have probably got something to do with that.
