Spaced Actor Pegg In New Sci-Fi Role
Spaced actor Simon Pegg has been cast as a villain in the new series of Dr Who.
The star will make a cameo appearance in a role called The Editor who controls the 500th floor of a mysterious building from which time travellers do not return.
Simon is one of several stars making guest appearances in the BBC1 drama, featuring Christopher Eccleston as the Time Lord and Billie Piper as his assistant.
Pegg, 35, told Nuts magazine he had been cast as The Editor in episode seven.
He said: "I'm in one episode of the new Doctor Who. I think it's going to be spectacular.
"It's a real honour to be in it. To be a Doctor Who villain was a bit of a dream come true, so I was very happy to do that."
Former Coronation Street star Bruno Langley, One Foot in the Grave star Richard Wilson and Green Wing actress Tamsin Greig are also set to appear in forthcoming episodes.

WHO'S THE TREKKIE? Apr 8 2005
STAR Trek veteran Patrick Stewart has clinched the lead in ITV’s £4.5million answer to Doctor Who.
Yorkshire-born Stewart, 64, will return to British television for the first time in 20 years as a scientist who stops disasters in the four-part sci-fi thriller Eleventh Hour.
Writer Stephen Gallagher said it was “a real champagne moment” when X-Men star Stewart signed up. Gallagher added: “X-Men 3 had their dates to meet and we had ours. Both of us wanted him.”
Eleventh Hour starts filming next month and will feature a glamorous female assistant for Stewart. |

I'm not convinced Sadie. When was the last time ITV made anything worth watching?

I'm sure the stories must have been good, why else would Patrick accept a £4.5 million role? :whistling: :o :lmao:

I hope ITV arent going for scheduling suicide by putting on at the same time as Dr Who!
Also, ITV only ever make crime dramas! That damn channel is full of 'em! Same story; different inspector; different show title
