Well, I awoke at 6am this morning and decided towatch Angel. Didn't I get carried away! I ended up watching three episodes from S4 which I hadn't seen.

The trouble with S4 is that it's so arc heavy, I can never remeber the names of the eps or what happended on each! The one I finished was Shiny Happy People which was pretty good.

I loved the ep with Darla in it!!!!!! Nearly had me in tears. Whho am I kidding, I was in tears :tear:

Waht do you think of these eps and do yu think I rushed it by watching three? Now I have less to watch until the end :tear:

Keep watching them at the speed you do and, yes, they will be gone before you know it.

Try to hold off for a few days and you will find yourself obsessing over whats going to happen and probably end up watching more anyway :lol:

And you still have all of S5 to go after 4!

The episode with Darla in was called inside out.

And i think that season 4 had loads of arcs, if that's the question you asked.

EG. there was the one with Connor and Cordy :x, the one with the beast, the one with Angelus, the one with Faith and the one with Jasmine.

Season 4 is very arc heavy, but that's why I like it so much. It's done in a good way - the "big bad" changes about 4 times throughout the season which keeps it interesting and fresh.

Totally agree. The goood thing about it, plus most of Angel is that you can rewatch and always find things you have missed. Like knowing Cordie was 'possesed' for a while means that when I start my rewatch, I can look for signs.

Also, knowing why Connor is there and Pylea, you can try to pot trends. Especially with Skip, who I am gutted was a baddie! :o I will ahve to watch Birthday again.

I haven't seen the end of s 4 yet (only two eps to go) but Jasmine is starting to be a pain in the rear. All that Austin Powers insired fake laughing is driving me crazy!

S4 was impossibly unified. It was difficult to remember what any one episode was called and what happened in each one. That said it was great fun trying to keep track of it all. I have only managed to watch it all once so my memory of it is not that strong. The ending was not so wonderful it seemed to me at the time. If there was some sort of sociological comment being made then it did not strike home I am afraid. Angel is just not a deep enough programme to sustain any kind of profound philosophising. sk

Season four's arc is pretty heavy but i like it that way so that's why it's one of my favorite seasons.I mean it has the return of Angelus and FAith,evil "Cordelia",Jasmine,more of Connor all grown up and a brilliant finale :thumbsup:

I agree with it being impossible to remember what each episode was called. That's the trouble when they mergeg the storyline so much.

Still, I wouldn't do without it. :thumbsup:

jasmine sounded so surreal in comparaison to the rest of the season: you wait for an apocalypse and you end up with a "fake" power that was bringing peace but without the free will <_<

I haven't seen all of season 4, but I enjoyed it - I'm always more of a fan of the main story arc episodes, but having said that, the episodes with Electric Gwen were good fun! The only thing I didn't like about S4 was too much Connor, but he was important to the main story, so there you go.
I also cried buckets when Darla's ghost came back to talk to Connor - good to see Darla as one of the good guys :tear:

gwen was a good character ... they should have used her a little more but the episode "concluding" her story was well done.

I am with you on this I love the more episodic series 1 series 2 gets dull for me until Angel has his epiphany loved season 3 cos the arc was Connor and holtz and wes I guess - good arc but season four was way too arc heavy - all the episodes sort of melt into one to me!

Missed most of the episodes as had to watch it on Sky a couple of months ago. Kept forgetting to tape it and then they missed out episodes.

Tell him he's got to watch it without interuption as you probably remember it's so hard to follow if you stop and start it.

When it arrives, we shall do nothing but watch it until it's finished :toomuchtv: and then we will watch season 5. I've seen it but ant hasn't. :lol:
