Fine, back to Farscape. Do the episodes in the box set run in production order or the air date order as in the original dvds?

Air date. I'm glad we are watching by production date as I find 'Throne for a loss' to be one of the poorest episodes of the season. Though it does have some great lines.

It's weird seeing the characters with their original make-up. D'Argo just looks... wrong, somehow. And Rygel's grey! What's up with that?!

I guess the evolution of the characters goes hand in hand with the evolution of their appearance. And I agree with you about D'Argo.

Maybe they decided to change Rygel when Chi came along, two grey people is too much for any one show!!

It's remarkable how the look of the show, even the lighting, changed so much by the end of the first season, let alone the third and fourth.

Yeah. It's like the show grew up all of a sudden. Started to take itself more seriously. They knew they had people hooked, and they enjoyed making the show and it showed.

Am I making any sense?

They certainly hit on a unique feel. One of the things I really like is the way the camera is constantly moving, or at an angle. Although it can make me feel a bit nauseous at times! :P

But it really adds to the whole feel of the show, that things are always on the move, not static, unpredictable, I don't know, it is just another one of the many little genius touches that makes Farscape, as a whole, so frellin enjoyable!!

Ah yes! The swearing: you're so full of dren, you're not just farbot - you're magna-farbot! :lol:

Tralk. I love that word. And frell. Trouble is no-one I know has ever watched Farscape so I can't use them :cry:

Do you have Uncharted Territory by Scott Andrews? Or any of the Illustrated Companions?

Nope. I tried to get something the other week but I couldn't find anything in any of the shops here. I meant to order one from amazon but keep forgetting :huh:

What is the best one?

Well, if you want interviews, synopses and photos then the Companions are the ones to get. If you want to go into depth about the character and plot development, episode by episode analyses and critique, then Uncharted Territory is highly recommended. It's Farscape's equivalent of the Slayer guides for Buffy. But it only covers up to season 3 at the moment <_<

I think I may have to take a better look at that one then!

Yet another thing to love about farscape, the nicknames John gives to the other characters and the fact that he is always spouting pop culture at them!! Hilarious!

Two of my least favourite episodes... :(

I don't know, there are some pretty good lines in 1.05 between Aeryn and Zhaan about Crichton. Makes me giggle anyway.

Zhaan: Is something wrong, John?
John: Something's happening and I- Something like I've just been... I'm just gonna get some air.
Aeryn: We have air in here. What is the matter with him?
Zhaan: He is Crichton.

Zhaan: He says he is experiencing the future.
Aeryn: The future? He can barely function in the present.
