Title: Musings Of A C.s.m
Description: Questions about this ep.

Hey peeps!

I`ve began watching Season 4 over the easter break, & got to Musings, & it`s brought up a question or 3! B)

Sorry if this has been asked before somewhere else, but it`s only just occured to me to ask!

Is the actor who plays the young C.S.M the same guy that comes along later as Agent Spender?

When he`s in the meeting with `Edgar` & says `I`ve spent alot of effort to keep Presidents from knowing of my existence` ostl, does this mean that he was w**king for & is now leader of the N.S.A? (with all the evidence he puts in the vault @ the pentagon & the fact that the N.S.A is legally able to deny its own existence, I would have to say that he is) :ermm:

Also, when Mulder & Scully are with T.L.G, Frohike gets all jumpy about being I.D`d before the CSM35 scrambler is activated, when they activate it, C.S.M flicks a switch to hear Byers say `there`s no electronics known that can break through the CSM35.` why is it called the CSM35? <_< & why can C.S.M break through it? :fear:

Could it be because he was involved with its design & manufacture?

Hopefully someone will have the answers(or at least theories) to these questions. <_< B)

Thanks in advance.

Chris Owens did indeed play both the young CSM and Jeffrey, and if memory serves he also had another small role in a standalone ep? Could be wrong though

I think the CSM35 thing was just to show how powerful he really is and to show off the extent of his reach :ermm:

Not too sure on the N.S.A, it's been awhile since I last watched S4

Hi all,

its also been a while since i saw this ep,

I always thought this was a micky take episode as it was full of plot holes.

I think the writers were showing they could take the mickey out of themselves as they had been accused of taking themselves too seriously.

From what i can remember it was told from Frohikes point of view and CSM's point of view.

I always thought the counter measure filter was the csm25 but i could be wrong.

Whenever i weatch this episode i end up laughing as it implies the csm is behind every conspiracy every told, and all he ever wanted to be was a novel writer.
