Can't wait to see the new series. I was worried they might do something drastic to BB, to make sure he didn't look like Crichton. I thought they might give him a shaved head or something.

I hope they have RDA in the first episode, so they can do a handover.

***S8 spoiler****

I know that AT and MS are signed up for some episodes in S9, but does any one know how many eps Christopher Judge is in? It looked like he was going to join the Jaffa ruling council towards the end of S8.

P.S Really not sure about Shank's beard. First Tealc grows hair, then Daniel grows a beard. What next? A muzzy for carter?

As far as I'm aware Chris Judge should be there for all of season 9. I've not heard of any talk otherwise.

Richard Dean Anderson helped to make Stargate a household name, and now his character of Jack O'Neill looks to be getting a proper send-off. Anderson will appear in two episodes in the 3-part season premiere "Avalon," actor Michael Shanks ("Daniel Jackson") reportedly told fans at this weekend's Vulkon convention in Orlando, Florida.

"Richard's coming back to the show," Shanks said. "He has scenes in the first episode, and we're going to see him in the third episode, too. I was told that on Tuesday, I'll be shooting a scene with him." The extent of Anderson's role in these episodes is not yet known.

Shanks himself will be sporting a beard for at least the first four episodes of the new season.

With Anderson departing the cast of SG-1 this season, newcomers Ben Browder and Beau Bridges have signed up as regular cast members. Bridges will play the new commanding officer of the S.G.C. -- handpicked by O'Neill himself -- while Browder will step in as the new military leader of the flagship unit.
