help me please wot happend to prue as only started watchin and watchin them in a muddle and why is page(sp) here?

ok, am not the hugest charmed fan so some of my info may be wrong. but here goes.

Prue was part of the original line up, and by the end of the 3rd season she left the show so Prue was killed off, losing the sisters their powers at the same time.

Then by the 4th season, suddenly there was a long lost half-sister who was 'drawn' to Prues funeral. The surviving chramed ones realise who Paige is (not sure how this happens) and they manage to reform the power of 3 with the new sister.

I just started watching it a couple of weeks ago on LivingTV (out of curiosity) they are currently showing Season 3 (I think) at 4:15 - 6pm, but they show an episode from a later season (not sure which, cos i don't watch that one) on Thursday and Saturday night. I've ordered Season 1 DVD for rental, so I can get into it properly. :)

yup, thursday and saturday are the nights that living show the 'latest' season (season 7) of the show, so on thursday its a brand new episode while it is repeated on saturday.

The other times the show is on during the day are repeats, they generally just recycle the show when they catch up, so eventually it will be back at season 1.

At the beginning there were three witches,phebeo,piper and pru.The actress who played Prue(Shannon Doherty)didn't get on well with ALyssa Milano(phebeo) and other cast members.After season three,Shannon thought she was still on the show and was getting ready for the fourth season.But the producers,directers and writers had decided to kick her of the show,that's why season three ended as a finale and was rushed/forced.So now their were two charmed ones and the show was all about the power of three.The writers had to quickly write another storyline for a fourth season.So it turns out Paige is piper and phebeo's half sister.Paige is two years younger then phebeo and is their mum's secreat child.Paige's dad is a whitelighter called SAm so she is halfwhitelighter and half witch.Paige has been living with her adoptive parents for most of her life untill they die and she meets her sisters after almost getting killed by a demon called Shax.

really? i always thought that it was Shannon Doherty's idea to leave the show, i didnt know she got the boot.

Yep she got booted that's why she wasn't keen to let them release the dvd with her picture on it. It wasn't very nice of them to kick her of like that if though she used to act like a bitch. :rolleyes:

Paige was drawn to the funeral because in Piper's frustrated attempts to bring back Prue she does a spell to call on a lost witch and a sister - these both apply to paige so it was the spell that brought her to the funeral

:thumbsup: LivingTV started showing Season 1 again today - so now I can start from the beginning and watch it properly! With 2 episodes a day they should just get to the end of S5 before I go on holiday! :D

I won't be watching any of the series apart from the seventh for a long long time.I've watched them so many times over the last couple of years i'm so sick and tired of all the repeats shown.

I remember watching in the beginning and every week was more or less the same Witch like chant "the power of three will set you free" or something like that. :lol: well cheesy :lol:

Very true... however I've seen quite a few of the later episodes so I know it gets better...
It's still far more engaging even in the first series than a lot of other rubbish on telly.

It's a pity Charmed isn't what it used to be anymore,i think it started to go down hill around about the fifth series.I mean the chris thing and wyatt's birth was a new thing but the episodes itself more or less have the same thing happening in them.

I love Charmed but I know what you mean about all the repeats. Ive only seen season 1(as I have these on dvd) and end half of season 4 onwards. I only get to watch it on channel 5 as I dont have sky and they havent shown any new seasons for ages, they just keep repeating the old ones. I want to watch the new ones any body have any idea when channel 5 are going to be showing the new ones.
