Bought it today - didnt que up at midnight last night for it as I know some people did, it was bad enough doing that when the last HARRY POTTER book came out.

Not waiting for the special edition - didnt for the other two and anyway gives me something to watch over the bank holiday.

I'm resisting temptation again, it's the SE for me in November :)

I'm a sucker - I buy both editions :)

Luckily for me I managed to wait for the first Extended Edition. With the second one it was slightly different, I got a copy of the Oscar Presentation DVD that was knocking around just after it had opened.

This has really been the first one where I've been tempted. Could always sell it on eBay when the EE comes out.

I dread to think how long the EE of ROTK will be - the theatrical cut is already 3 hours 12 minutes.

Not that it affects me of course - I must be one of the few people who got bored halfway thorough Fellowship :)

Not hard to see why Phillip truth be told, that opening hour in particular is quite a drag at times :)

You should give them another go though, the end of TTT is superb, as is much of ROTK.

Well, I'm sure my sister will acquire them soon anough, so I'll pinch them at some stage :)

And with that I'm going to wander off and do a few more hours of revision :)

I've just ordered Tom Hanks/HBO's FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON, so I've got no choice this month :)

Ooh, have you seen it before? It was one of the first dvd sets I ever bought and is still one of my favourites. Just a fantastic, fantastic series. :thumbsup:

Hmmm, apparently the FTETTM boxset is shipped from the States, meaning the blessed ol' Import Duties come into play. Think I might have to rethink that one.

I remember. I paid the best part of $100 for it. And then had it couriered over. And then had to pay the import duties. :rolleyes:

Still, that was about 5 years ago now. Buying dvds was like a drug at the time. I'd never do anything as rash or impulsive these days :unsure:

Very much so - in fact season 1 did after the first eight or nine episodes. Try watching Rogue from season 1. That was when the stories started to branch out.

Presumably I'll be fitting this in around the Farscape VS1 then ?? ;)
