Title: Cheap Babylon 5 Season Five Region 1 Dvds

star_fury - March 23, 2005 01:29 PM (GMT)
Seeing as region 2 DVDs are cut I have been struggling to find a reasonably priced 5th season on region 1. Today however I found this...

http://www.dvdsoon.com/show-title-details.xml?uid=106627

DVDsoon are selling their DVDs for 74.98 Canadian dollars (plus $3 postage and packing) while playUSA are selling theirs for 115 Canadian dollars! However I have also found a 10 per cent voucher code that you can enter in the checkout section saving you 7.49 Canadian dollars... Making it just over 70 Canadian dollars(£31  ) including postage and packing!
The code you enter is....

CHECKMA05

this is a Caps sensitive voucher code so you might want to cut-and-paste if you decide to make an order. The voucher code is valid until 30th April 2005.

If I didn't already have the Region 2 set, I'd probably have gone for that as well

Are you including tax with that?

Usually prices on Amazon.ca, Amazon.com and the likes are printed without including the taxes, so you'll probably need to add about 15% on to that price...

Last week, I picked up the Angel S5 set to send to my fiancee - Amazon.ca quoted a price of $59, however after taxes were added it was closer to $67 :)

Sure those prices include taxes! To be honest I've never discovered taxes like you're describing but then again I've never used Amazon.com or Amazon.ca before. I've used DVDsoon and another Canadian retailer DVDimport.com before and there has never been any taxes or hidden charges.

P&P from DVDsoon used to be all inclusive (unless you chose one of the more expensive delivery options) but since the beginning of the year they have been charging for delivery. The only hidden figure is postage and packing which for the cheapest rate is $3 Canadian although there was at $10 option and another ludicrously expensive courier option. There is also an optional $1 fee to have your items sent in a box although from what I've heard they send DVD box sets in a box anyway .

I hope that helps :)
