Title: Whats Your Favourite Radio Station?

ant - March 20, 2005 09:14 AM (GMT)
Mine would have to be Kerrang! :headbang:

Matthew Matic - March 20, 2005 09:37 AM (GMT)
Radio 2.

Now where's my slippers and pipe? :)

ant - March 20, 2005 09:41 AM (GMT)

Margot C - March 20, 2005 12:36 PM (GMT)
Xfm

Margot

Steve - March 20, 2005 05:18 PM (GMT)
Radio 1 for Chris Moyles & Scott Mills :p

But for inbetween that pair-Radio 2 (except for Wogan & Sarah Kennedy who i dislike with a passion).

kicking it old school - March 20, 2005 07:00 PM (GMT)
Radio 1. Only really listen to Chris Moyles & Scott Mills' shows as they're on to and from school. Occasionally catch a bit of Colin & Edith when I finish early.

Jae - March 20, 2005 07:13 PM (GMT)
At w**k I usually listen to Kiss 100 in the morning and switch to the more mellow Magic 105.4 in the afternoon. At home I listen to Capital.

obnoxious brat - March 21, 2005 07:55 AM (GMT)
I can't deal with radio stations, they drive me mad! <_<
I used to listen to xfm quite a lot when it was actually pretty decent (ie a very lnog time ago) and didn't just play lots of identical sounding indie bands! :p
The only time I ever really listen to the radio is when I'm skanking a lift, and then I just fiddle between xfm, Radio 1, Virgin, Magic, Capital and Kiss (the stations that have been tuned in!) and take the opportunity to whine about the radio. :innocent:

Sparkle Motion - March 21, 2005 08:35 AM (GMT)
Radio 1.

Crichton Kicks - March 21, 2005 08:43 AM (GMT)
Radio 1 for Moyles, and Five Live for the footy.

Hovis - March 21, 2005 11:24 AM (GMT)
The radio at home is mostly tuned to Five Live. For music, I usually go for Virgin, although they only seem to have about 20 songs they play.

On the whole though... I'm with Matthew, pipe and slippers please, give me Radio 2! Whispering Bob Harris on a Saturday night... good stuff! And this is really sad, I do actually quite like Wogan! Never forgiven him for pushing Joe Dolce's shaddup your face to no 1 ahead of Ultravox's Vienna. Is 20+ too long to hold a grudge like that?

Absolutely not!!

It was unforgivable! ;)

Michelle - March 21, 2005 03:49 PM (GMT)
Radio 1 merely for Chris Moyles, occasionally Colin & Edith, and Scott Mills on the way home. Otherwise, I generally just listen to CDs.

I used to listen to Heart FM, cos their breakfast show made me laugh, but Chris swayed me to change. :)

Laura - March 21, 2005 04:44 PM (GMT)
I listen to Radio 1 for The Lock Up on Tuesday but usually have it tuned to Virgin. When I'm at home I listen to Yahoo!'s alternative rock station,

Never heard him on the radio (Haven't listened to R1 since Mark & Lard did breakfast) but I saw him on Buzzcocks when he was the biggest tosser in the history of the show which is really saying something.

I listen to XFM - Christian O'Connell AM and Lauren Laverne PM.

I must admit, the Buzzcocks appearance put me off Chris Moyles for ages. Totally humourless and unable to laugh at himself, yep, complete tosser on that

I listen to his radio show, not every day, but generally when I can't decide which CD to put on. I don't listen to much radio, I tend to stick MTV2 on in the background.

Kerrang's okay, but same as the channel, they tend to take liberties with what I'd class as either rock or metal

Margot C - March 21, 2005 10:23 PM (GMT)
I used to love Steve Penk's show on Capital FM, which was at 10pm - 1am, I think. It was so funny that I would actually go to sleep with the radio on just so that I could listen to the whole show. I even carried on listening to that show past the stage where I liked any of the music that he played.

The worst radio show has to be Chris Tarrant's old breakfast show. He was so annoying - I hated him!

Stewie Griffin - March 22, 2005 12:54 AM (GMT)
5 Live for the football commentaries! I don't really listen to any other radio, although I have to endure Century 106FM in the office at w**k which drives me up the wall (too many phone-ins and not enough decent music) and normally sends me to my walkman to listen to CDs.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is a complete tosser in real life, but the show makes me laugh and puts me in a good mood on the way to w**k, so that's good enough for me.
