I was just thinking (probably too much) about this board and how there is still under thiry members. I was wondering if the board was a bit more general, would it attract a bit more people. Maybe if this was the Cult Media Board instead of the Cult TV Board, things might be more interesting. There is already a film section. Music has as much a cult following as TV. There could be a section for Music, perhaps seperated into different genres or by country because what is considered to be "main stream" depends on the country or continent at least. Maybe there couls also be a radio section. Maybe even an anime section which is cult tv (wishful thinking :lol: )?

I'm not dissatisfied with the board, but I'd like to know what people think about that? Or is there a reason why it's only cult tv? I didn't come from the other board many others seem to have come from.

When I first started this place I intended for it to be Cult TV only. Having originated from the beeb I thought it would be great to have a place, which was looser with the rules and choices, members could be more open and things would hopefully run a lot smoother. The non-cult TV boards (Lounge, Drama, Films) are there to encourage this more. Unlike other boards such as the Kazaa ones (where me Wox and Xero often frequent) instead of relying on members and post counts to gage success, I only intend for this place to be used by dedicated Cult TV fans so that they can obsess over their favourite shows with more freedom.

Other non-cult boards are purely there as filler, although a music board does look likely seeing as it will get used a lot. ;)

Ahh... a response from the board creator in the flesh. :)
I see what you mean, but I'm still pretty new here as you know. :lol:

Xero, please feel free to start a music thread in the lounge for whatever genre you're into. I'd be very happy to accomodate a music section in there, as long as Eric doesn't have any objection. Music is my first love anyway, and then Cult Tv obviously Eric ;) There are a few threads in there already anyway. I don't think that every member here, is interested in cultier music, there are a few, but generally speaking I think the majority are more mainstreamish with their musical tastes.

Eric is very correct, in having somewhere for the people, who have been used to the constraints of the Beeb ,to go and be a bit freer. i'm personally fed up of having posts removed for being a bit off topic, okay very off topic :lol:

I think it is right that this board focuses on Cult tv and film.

As has been said, the Lounge is a place where talk about music (or anything else) can and does happen.

I think everyone on this board is relaxed and friendly enough to talk about whatever we like, but it's the Cult TV shows that pulled us together in the first place. It's weird how every thread seems to end up being about football, though :lol:
