I liked a lot of thrash as well but they're not hair metal, so I'm not listing them, except Slayer, I still remember when they first came out wearing makeup

How could you forget Faster Pussycat :o
I was into a lot of sleazy rock and goth at the time. Must have been the makeup

Loved Faith No More, early RHCP, my old drummer was the spitting image of Anthony Kiedis

I'm ashamed to say, I have so many Motley Crue limited edition vinyl picture discs that I cringe when I look at them these days

Hoorah a hair metal thread!!
I am still listening to the same bands i listened to in the 80's.
Skid Row
Vain (they are about to go on tour over here)
Spead Eagle
Babylon Ad
Junkyard
Faster Pussycat
Motley Crue
Bang Tango
Guns 'N' Roses (just the Appetite album and Lies, i didn't like anything else after that)
Love/Hate
Tigertailz (they are re-releasing Berzerk! soon,
http://www.tigertailz.co.uk have a lookie on there, there is a piccie of the band as they are now).
Have a look here:
http://www.sleazeroxx.com/bios.shtmlI have made myself an mp3 disc with loads of hair metal on it, marvellous!
I am trying to learn some Vain songs on my guitar.
I was also into Thrash, but i don't think they used much hairspray...or shampoo even! ;) I also like Faith No More, i wouldn't class them as hair metal though. Mike Patton is really talented, he has just done a new project called Lovage which is quite odd. Not as odd as Mr Bungle though.

Wasn't Ace Finchum their drummer in the Bezerk days?
I have Blackout by Love/Hate, i pilfered it off a p2p as i sold my album version years ago.
I found a sampler tape in Oxfam which had a track i was looking for that Kerrang gave away many moons ago. I also got guns n roses Lies on tape for 50p! Bargain.
