In "The Girl in Question" Does anyone find it strange the Buffy is dating another vampire The Immortal? Is he good or evil?
Krazy - March 15, 2005 01:05 PM (GMT)
I can't really anwser any of your questions, don't have a clue why she decides she's going to date another vampire.I do think that The Immortal is neither good or bad

Erm, doesn't the Immortal bed Darla and Dru at the same time shown in the flash backs :whistling:
Not exactly serious relationship material I would think

I thought the Immortal was a demon.
prophecy girl - March 15, 2005 07:36 PM (GMT)
i am not sure the immortal was a vampire or a demon ... maybe a wizzard who discover a spell to leave long. because apart have fun against angel(us) and spike, he never really done anything bad (end of the world or else ... as far as we know)
buffy_fan1 - March 15, 2005 07:50 PM (GMT)
Well if I was dating Buffy I think I could put off being evil for a while
prophecy girl - March 15, 2005 07:54 PM (GMT)
i wonder if buffy was aware the immortal was having fun pissing off angel and spike while she was with him (if andrew ever mentionned them being around) because i doubt she would have let him go as far as he went (unless it was just the minions who got the bomb idea)

Yeah I got the impression he was another evil vampire he probably doesn't have a soul and is obviously dangerous from Angel's reactin to the phone call but then again this is Buffy we are talking about and she does like em evil!
By the way how funny is Spike's flash back to Italy with him and Dru standing around saying ciao! over and over! Bloody genius! (sorry bout the foul language)

I always thought that Buffy was with the Immortal because she knew there wasn't a relationship to be had, she just wanted some fun for once :) She'd spent seven years saving the world and now she got to be a regular girl and do what regular girls do, she probably knew the Immortal was either good or bad but didn't worry too much because it was just a fling thing :)

Also, wasn’t it said that the Immortal had some form of strong persuasive power, or a gift of incredible charm (oslt).
*On a side note, out of the entire 5 seasons, if there ever was such a thing as a bad episode, this would be it ;) I’d even go as far as placing lower ranking eps such as Anniversary and I fall To Pieces above this :)

That sounds pretty plausible - fits in with the whole Buffy being able to do whatever she likes after Chosen cos you know now she is just a hot chick with super powers and has help with the whole saving the world deal! Good for her.

think the idea was silly it was like they wanted to wrap up the Buffy storyline but had no idea how to! Not to mention the lack of SMG was just laughable but I think it had some pretty decent moments!

I’m extremely glad about SMG not appearing and the fact that the Buffy thing was dealt with so quickly. Angel had come into its own and overtaken Buffy seasons ago, it was the superior show and had its own mythology, and it basically had little to do with Buffy. The Buffy Angel relationship ended in S1’s Sanctuary imo, yes there’s all of that Angel still and always caring for her lark, but the shows were separate, and it would have been a crime to belittle AtS with a load of Buffy centric eps right towards the end of it’s final season, it accomplish so much on it’s own to throw it all away like that.
And as for Spikes dealings in all this, I couldn’t really care about him, he was only there for a season, and Angels final season should not have been wasted trying to please Buffy fans.
So overall, even if TGIQ was a bad ep, it was more than ok for the above reasons :)
