Title: Artist's Who Don't Look How They Sound

I was watching MTV2 this afternoon and I saw Willy Mason for the first time and he looked nothing like what I thought he would look like. He looked really ... ordinary and a bit nerdy when from hearing his music on the radio I was expecting him to look more .. I don'k know, more bohemian ? :)
So is there anybody who looks nothing like you thought they would ? Or who you were shocked to find out what they looked like after hearing their music ?

I totally agree on Willy Mason! I was listening to him on Radio1 the other day, then went to the website to look at the live lounge pics of him and I was so shocked! He looks nothing like how I imagined him to look. Can't think of anyone else like that though.

Franz Ferdinand sound very cool (obviously)- but I thought they looked a little geeky when I first saw them...they're all so skinny! :lol:
I also didn't imagine Keane to look like Hobbits.... :whistling: ;)

This is going back a bit, but one of the great things about the Pixies was that they made this great out there noisy music but looked like 3 blokes and one woman from the pub, or something.

The singer from New Model Army. Justin something i think he is called? (Maybe Persephone can help me out here). He has such a nice voice and his face just doesn't match it.

How about David Byrne, image didn't go with the music but it worked or Beck, he looked about 14 for ages :lol:
