I would certainly recommend this as an introduction to all those who may not have seen Family Guy yet. Try it, you won't be disappointed! :thumbsup:

You'd think they had chosen some better episdoes though - Weinstein is only there as it's the infamous 'banned' episode, while Love and Die in Dixie is really overrated and I am Peter, Hear me Roar is one of the worst episodes!
The only decent one there is Road to Rhose Island... :rolleyes:
And it had better be cheap, as the season sets keep on turning up in the sales at £13 - a much better introduction :)

I agree with Phillip you're better off buying the season box-sets in the sales. I picked up my promotional box sets for between £9 and £10 each :thumbsup:

anyway to rent it at blockbuster to get a good idea before really buying it? :ermm:

I'm in the middle of seeing season 3 for the first time and I skipped foward to this one, just to see what the banned episode would be like. And, maybe I'm being a bit stupid, but why was it banned? It didn't seem any more offensive than most of the episodes to me.

From what I remember, it's due to the stereotyping of Jews, and Fox were a bit concerned that this could piss off a lot of Jews :)

Oh right, I thought it might be that, thanks :).
I still think it's a bit extreme to ban it though, surely most Jews would see the funny side? I don't get offended when South Park (and pretty much everything American!) insults Canadians! Also, I doubt the type of person to watch Family Guy would get offended so easily.

Although I personally think that Seth's choices are pretty good (except for 'I Am Peter, Hear Me Roar' which I have to agree with Phillip is one of the poorest), I've been giving a bit of thought recently which five episodes I would choose if its was up to me. Its pretty difficult but I've come up with the following (in no particular order);
I Never Met The Dead Man
The Story On Page One
Emission Impossible
Mr Saturday Knight
Family Guy Viewer Mail #1
There are probably another ten episodes that I like just as much but these are the ones I tend to watch the most of all. :thumbsup:
