Title: Be the Technician!

Phillip Culley - May 22, 2004 09:20 PM (GMT)
Have you ever dreamt of sitting at a computer like everyone's favourite Technician (be he called Walter Davies, Harriman Davis or whatever :)) and being able to dial up the Stargate?

Or is it just me :(

Anyway, I've just found a fun little program here, where (if you download all the components - you probably need a high-speed connection for this) you can load up your own desktop program duplicating the dialling computer! :)

There's also another program imitating an off-world DHD on the site as well

You have far too much spare time on your hands Mr Culley ;)

Watched DISCLOSURE again earlier. Love that episode.

Kinsey: "Er...Commander Thor...."

Thor: "Supreme Commander....."

Way to rain on Kinsey's parade. Yay !!

Maybe so, but it's something fun to do, and I bet you're downloading it right now :P

Well, someone has to love Disclosure - while it had it's moments (such as 'SUPREME Commander Thor' it was yet another clip-shop, and a cheap way of getting RDA out of an episode.

If anything though, at least when Stargate does a clipshop, it does it well :)

I probably would do but I'm finishing up Farscape 1x01 and 1x02 for you ;)

As a clip show I didn't much mind Disclosure, as long as there's something meaty in it, and watching Hammond and Kinsey square off is always fun, especially when Hammond cleans his clock for him ;)

The one thing that did jar however, yet again, the British stereotype, I was wondering how long it would take before we heard the word bloody

That sounds like a good enough excuse :)

I've got a problem getting hold of them myself - I've tried BitTorrent, however I'm living with a friends family, and his dad has been overzealous with the firewall, and as a result it's blocking and attempts to download with BT. I'll try and get him to turn it down (I'll say it's affectign something), and hopefully I'll try again :)

Not sure you'll have too much joy with BT Phillip. Looks like theres only the full seasons to d/l.

I'm pulling them off DC for you, about 350MB files, should be good enough methinks ;)

Phillip Culley - May 22, 2004 09:47 PM (GMT)
Yowzer - that should be big enough :D

I'm not sure about DC - last time I tried connecting it I had a trojan spring up on my PC (which I managed to neutralise), plus it refused to connect (and this was before the firewall was put up to maximum level)

LOL

Doesn't sound like you're the luckiest person in the world ;)
