I haven't done a poll before, so sorry if i've made a mistake in creating it.

There was a discussion about Buffy vs Angel theme tunes, and i was wondering if people prefered the SG-1 theme tune or the Atlantis one.

I'm not sure at the moment, i want to here some arguments for each before i decide which i think is better.

Atlantis for me, if only because it's newer. I've heard the SG1 one for 8 years now :rolleyes:

The one thing going against the Atlantis one though, in places, it seems awfully similar to the SeaQuest theme :lol:

When i listen to the Atlantis Theme Tune, i think that i really like it and that it's better, but then i listen to SG-1 again and think well that was really good as well, so i'm still undecided, but thanks for voting.

SG-1 all the way.

If anything, I feel it has a much more bombastic and confident theme as opposed to Atlantis's lower-key one, plus I feel SG-1's fits the credits better (well, the US credits as opposed to the one used in the UK for Seasons 1-5. with the sarcophagus head).

In a way, it's like comparing the themes to TNG and DS9 (although oddly I prefer the DS9 one here! :))

I can't decide yet. The SG-1 theme is like an old friend, whereas, as James said, the SG:A theme is all exciting and new :thumbsup:

I think i may have to go for like them both the same, they both suit the shows they were written for, and have their own special qualities to them, so i have a dilemma, maybe if some more people give some more opinions you can help us undecided folk to vote.

SG1 - As above an old friend, I'm still getting to know Atlantis and I refuse to ditch old friends until a new spangly friend becomes more well known :)
