Title: Angel And Cordie?
Description: What are your opinions on them?
Maria - March 2, 2005 01:06 PM (GMT)
I couldn't get my head aroudn Cordie and Angel in season 3 to 4.
I haven't seen S5 or the end of S4 so I don't know how it ends but I do know that it must end as Angel goes to Sunnydale and kisses Buffy.
What are your opinions? Love it or Loathe it?
"I am my thoughts" - March 2, 2005 02:01 PM (GMT)
Bad bad bad idea. Good as just friends, but the spark wasn't there to uphold a solid romantic attraction. :snooty:
Glad that Awakening was just a dream

I didn't like it AT ALL!!!!!! :fear: Maybe this is because I skipped a few seasons and didn't grow to like Cordy. But thought it was just wrong.
laughitupfuzzball - March 2, 2005 02:32 PM (GMT)
I liked them together in Waiting in the Wings but never wanted them to get together seriously.
grrrarrrgh - March 2, 2005 03:44 PM (GMT)
I liked em in Waiting in the Wings too. For the rest of it, I just was not buying it. It seemed so forced!
Maria - March 2, 2005 04:06 PM (GMT)
I agree, it seemed as though, Cordie had fancied Wes in Sunnydale, Gunn was with Fred so they thought, hey her is a pretty girl and a handsome man and a plot line waiting to be exploited!
I know they would use that card though. Widh they hadn't. :o

I for one loved it. Sorry. :)

Didn't hate it, didn't love it- infinitely preferable to Cordy/Connor though.

Anything is preferable to Cordy/Connor :x Xander/Inca mummy girl, Willow/Moloch, Buffy/Parker, all a million times better than Cordy/Connor!
TV Crazy - March 2, 2005 06:13 PM (GMT)
I quite liked Angel and Cordy, it was kind of sweet. I am more of a Buffy/Angel fan rather than Angel/Cordy, but i thought it was good and we all knew it would never w**k because no couple is ever happy for that long in the Whedonverse.
Anything is better than Connor/Cordy, that was just :x
Ems :)

i didnt really like angel and cordy but as many people have said, it was MUCH better than cordy/connor. (shudder)
love emma :)
Krazy - March 2, 2005 07:18 PM (GMT)
The only Angel/Cordelia episodes i liked was Waiting in the Wings and YOur Welcome :)
prophecy girl - March 2, 2005 08:47 PM (GMT)
hello salty goodness
good friends: yes
lover: no way (i mean if there had been any chance for the two of them getting together, the writers should have put some little hints during buffy ... not throwing it in the middle of angel season three) xander: cordie, give it up, you will never get between these two, trust me, i know
Childhood Trauma - March 3, 2005 10:35 AM (GMT)
I think Angel and Cordelia would have been okay together but not like the most serious couple ever.
Maria - March 8, 2005 05:15 PM (GMT)
Well for one, they could have never consumated their relationship!
Still a bad, bad idea though. I know that isn't everything but as with Buffy and Angel, it is a big part of sealing their love so it would have been far too tempting.
Didn't Angel think of that?

Maybe he thought it wouldn't give him that one moment of perfect happiness. If Buffy was the love of his life, even if he loved Cordy she wouldn't have quite the same effect on him.

NO!!!! :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
prophecy girl - March 9, 2005 08:08 PM (GMT)
but angel/cordie wouldn't be true happiness, angel "love" cordie but not like he love buffy, imo

Okay Cordy/Connor was foul. :x
But hey about Buffy/Parker! They had poetry as a couple ;)

But he was willing to take the risk anyway!
At the end of s 3 when him and Cordie rush to meet each other. What were they thinking.
Ohh we'll have a romantic night followed by ..... nothing, he couldn't risk it for Buffy he certainly shouldn't for Cordie IMO
prophecy girl - March 10, 2005 07:52 PM (GMT)
and yet in angel fantasy dream in season four , he got a perfect moment ........... even if he call for buffy when "it" happened
Maria - March 10, 2005 10:50 PM (GMT)
So it goes to show that whiles't with Cordie (even if in his dreams) he was thinking of Buffy! YALY
prophecy girl - March 11, 2005 06:21 PM (GMT)
kinda make the angel love cordie look ridiculous ... he will never love cordie as much cordie love him ... i suppose
Maria - March 12, 2005 07:41 AM (GMT)
Got that right!
I couldn't think of anything worse than having sex and someone call out the wrong name!!
True love conquers all!
It goes to show that from Angel point of view, he is always subconciously thinking of Buffy and Buffy is always thinking of Angel. Even when she was kind of with Spike in S 7, she still smooched with Angel. You don't do that if you really care for someone.
It proved that she never loved Spike in a relationship way alothough I do think she had some form of love for Spike even if a more caring friendship love.
I think Joss out that Buffy / Angel kiss in for a reason and seeming as though I haven't seen S5 Angel, I am assuming it will spark another fued between Angel and Spike.
Laura - March 14, 2005 11:43 AM (GMT)
I thought it was a bit forced, it seemed to be:
Fred: you and cordy are perfect for each other
Angel: oh look, so we are!
But once the season moved on a bit I warmed to the idea a bit more.
prophecy girl - March 14, 2005 09:15 PM (GMT)
i never get why fred and lorne had to push and push them together (well mostly angel because they never went after cordie .... that was groo job <_< )

Maybe because they could see that he liked her and didn't want him to be lonely and miserable?
prophecy girl - March 15, 2005 07:26 PM (GMT)
and yet they knew the curse ... well lorne knew (fred was still kinda new on the all angel/angelus thing)

Exactly. Talk about wanting trouble!
They should have just brought Buffy to do the job in S4 with the whole soul issue. One moment of happiness - not a problem! Soul gone :wox: !!!!!!!!!!!!
Laura - March 16, 2005 12:43 PM (GMT)
Perhaps they thought that Angel could control himself to not act to activate the curse ;)
prophecy girl - March 16, 2005 07:34 PM (GMT)
yes like he was in total control of his feeling in tomorrow when he agree for a meeting with cordie
