Two officials from the Ministry of Peace come to Babylon 5; one to deal with the Centauri's continued expansion, and the other to check on the local Nightwatch. Meanwhile a Narn heavy cruiser seeks sanctuary while they make repairs, and Keffer continues his search for proof that Shadow ships exist.

Equally :o as the first season finale

Woah! Great finale!
The exciting fight with the centauri cruiser! :o The cowardice of the Ministry of peace trying to get an alliance rather than taking a stand! :o The corrupt Night Watch! :o The attempt on Sheridan's life! :o Seeing Kosh's real identity! :o The recording of the Shadow ship (and by the way, poor Keffler :() :o :o :o and :o
When I saw Robin Sachs's name in the credits, I thought he'd be in it as his capacity as a Minbari. I didn't realise he'd be playing multiple roles in the show. Still, when wearing that much makeup, I suppose it doesn't really matter. I recognised his voice a mile off though.
I sneaked a look at the start of S3 to hear the music & see the titles. I always liked that music. Was it from the battle of the line? Or something like that anyway. And a new regular joins I see. :) I am most looking forward to this season! :D
Maybe I slightly overdid it with the emoticons. :ermm: ;)

Gotta love Sheridan's 'apology' After all, it's the 'thought' that counts
Here's where it starts to get 'interesting' ;)

Poor old Keffer didn't last long, did he? :(
Superb ending to the season. Especially loved the little opening scene between Vir and Lennier
It also struck me that, for a US series, there's an awful lot of British actors in there, in this case Roy Dotrice. Probably because they can act
Also started to wonder if Neville Chamberlain's estate gets a royalty every time someone says "Peace in our Time"
S3 beckons

Well if they do, they shouldn't.
Apparently, what he actually said was "peace for our time"

A few too many things went "straight to hell" in this episode :lmao:
But apart from that, stunning. Just like Chrysalis the build up of tension is superb, and it doesn't stop with the battle with the Centauri cruiser (on any other show that would've been the climax of the episode). Strangely, I always thought Sheridan's "Oh hell" line when the battle starts was in Severed Dreams  Whatever, that's one of my favourite moments - for some reason it reminds me of the beginning of the gunfight at the OK Corral in Tombstone, Kurt Russell says something very similar before it all "goes straight to hell"
Love all the stuff about the Nightwatch and the Ministry. Roy Dotrice is very good. Poor G'Kar, being turned away like that. The scene where Zack is questioned by Mr Welles is fascinating and unsettling (odd to see John Vickery out of Minbari make-up, too).
And then, of course, there's Kosh... :o
Have to say, I'm frequently getting peeved with the dvd transfers, not because of the quality of the picture (which is poor at times, but hey ho), but because, in certain shots, the reframing of the picture to widescreen has been handled extremely poorly. In the previous episode there were two scenes where, firstly, G'Kar was speaking but his head was completely cut out of the picture and, secondly, when Sheridan met Sebastian the same thing happened to him. Here, in one shot as Kosh guides Sheridan to the ground, both their heads are cut out of the shot. I'm not quite sure why this is happening, because wasn't the series filmed with widescreen in mind?
Still, gripe out of the way, this is an amazing end to a brilliant season. The final shot just caps it all.

I think it's something to do with that, while the live action sections were always shot for widescreen, the effects shots in the early seasons (don't know if it's all the way through) were rendered in a 4:3 aspect ratio which would either have to be re-rendered in 16:9 or cropped (guess which option WB chose).

Cheap b@stards <_<
I've noticed the effects shots are cropped, unfortunately, which explains Kosh and Sheridan in this episode, but the ones in Comes The Inquisitor were just character scenes in the docking bay and Zocalo
Incidentally, don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I noticed in HMV yesterday that all of the seasons have been re-released in the slim cases, which I didn't realise had happened :ermm:

That's been the case for a while, when I replaced my S2 after it met with a slight accident they had already replaced the book type packaging with the individual slip cases
I've also seen a box set of all the B5 DVDs including the movies, Crusade and LotR in Silverscreen.
ps I think the exception to the cgi rule was the title sequences which I believe were always done in widescreen.
